"Petra-sanâs mother? HmâŚ" Mikasa nodded, understanding where he was coming from, despite swallowing down her envy. Sometimes she wondered what her own mother would have taught her if she were still alive.
Unconsciously, a small frown marred her countenance at the thought as she absentmindedly began to cut the spinach. However, a few moments later, after the realization that he had never instructed her upon how large the spinach should be sliced, Mikasa halted. âAh, Eren? How small should I cut the spinach?â Her wide, ashen gaze turned, fixated on him as she waited, expectant of a direct answer.
That was the question he was expecting. She was doing it wrong but he didn't want to plainly interrupt and point out her mistake, hence why he kept staring at her work to wait for such question. "Ah right. That's.... that's too thick, Mikasa. Try to make them thinner, not as thin as the cheese," he showed the few pieces he had recently cut. "...but almost." Ugh, how should he explain.
"Look, let me show you." And walking up to her, Eren, without hesitation, stood behind her slid both arms under her own, at each side, grabbing both of her hands. "Just... like this, okay?" He started to slowly control her hands, cutting the spinach, the exact thickness he needed. "Alright?" Then he took a step back, releasing her form and realizing what he did just now. It was because of his focus on the instruction that he didn't notice how... close he got to be and... no, he would just ignore that and go back to the cheese... Yes, that would be fine. She wouldn't ask anything anyway, right?
