   the attention is more than welcomed; his muscles untense, his lids fall, he stays still and quiet. after a long day, or whenever for that matter, it felt nice to be pampered. after all, zen always enjoyed having soft hands running through his hair.

   other than the voice at the end of the line, everything’s silent. this isn’t the first time he’s received a call from seven at a god forbidden hour, but it’s not like he woke zen up anyway. laying down, his mind has been pacing around in circles until his phone lit as the perfect excuse to stay up. he stays still, the confession taking words off his mouth. 

   overwhelmingly flattered would be an understatement. hyun, speechless, recovers his posture the moment he feels the stems of the bouquet under the pad of his fingers. this girl— while he may not know her personally to the fullest, there’s an awareness of her sensibility, something that makes her more than ‘ jumin’s intern ’ . a younger sister figure in the making, who knows ?

   initially, hyun doesn’t allow himself to speak. on his mind, it’d be hypocritical to protest against dishonesty; he isn’t justifying v and rika, but he can’t demonize them either. he, too, has lied and turned to the ‘ some things are better left unsaid ‘ philosophy, but there’s a single difference. hyun lies about personal matters, v and rika kept information that concerned an organization. that was critical to making hyun feel less between a rock and a hard place when coming to holding a grudge at their lies.

   zen runs his fingers through the pages of the script and listens to yoosung’s persistence just across him. he knows the request comes from a good place, and that precisely makes him consider the odds of how helpful he could be. yoosung isn’t useless. he’s smarter than everyone accredits, zen believes. with a tilt of his head, he gets up his seat and, turning his wrist wrist, hands yoosung the script. then, a shrug along a smug smile.
