âYouâll be lucky enough if Iâm home often enough to cook you anything your heart desires this winter,â Remy smirked, seeing right through Janeâs silly exaggerations, âBut yes, I am very blessed to have a roommate who buys me ugly sweaters and burns pasta without intending to,â The young chef went to help Jane untangle lights, a warm smile on his face at the familiarity. Of course, lights and trees werenât exactly common for Hanukkah either, but it seemed the roommates were going to have fun balancing traditions this entire December while sharing their home together, âWell⌠Iâve never cut down a tree before?â He wasnât opposed to the idea, it was only that he had no idea where to start, âIsnât it going to be rather messy? Weâll have to clean up needles all the time. But then again, I guess we need someplace to put all these decorations?â
Jane let out a sigh, âsounds like I might actually have to try and make friends then huh?â Sitting down with a huff as she focused on the knots in the lights as Remy held the other end. âYou are, donât forget thatâ she said a small smirk reforming on her lips. âCome to think of it, I havenât either, my dad always just opted for the fake tree, said it was easier.â Shrugging Janeâs smirk turned to a hopeful smile, âIâm sure weâll be able to figure it out. And sure, itâs messy but I promise to clean up after it, feed it, water it, everything you have to do to take care of a tree. I pinky promise.â She begged him like a child asking her parents for a puppy.
