                      ❝   you  wish.   ❞      wry  grin  rests  on  his  features.   in  hindsight,   she's  probably  right:   he'd  gladly  sink  his  teeth  in  upon  request.   perhaps  he  looks  mere  seconds  away  from  indulging  those  whims  at  any  given  moment.   context  varies,   but  intentions  are  all  the  same.   fingers  wrap  around  her  ankles,   a  light  hold.   it's  all  for  show.      ❝   what's  stopping  me  from  coming  over  there,   hm?   ❞

it's  been  enough  time  where  seeing  him  shouldn't  spark  a  visceral  reaction  like  this,  the  butterflies  in  her  stomach  and  this  inability  to  wipe  the  smile  off  her  face.  from  the  outside  looking  in,  they're  nothing  more  than  a  pair  of  lovestruck  fools.  aylin  can't  even  deny  that  she'd  been  cheering  for  him  louder  than  anyone  —  bias  showing  even  from  the  crowd.  she  lets  out  a  little  laugh  at  the  stumble  in  words,  quickly  shaking  her  head.  “i'm  a  loyal  fan,  even  on  the  off  days  i  don't  have  to  clock  in.”  the  rare  tournaments  she'd  missed,  none  of  it  lessened  the  excitement  and  happiness  that  surged  seeing  his  success.  it  was  only  in  some  dream  world  of  hers  that  she  hoped  to  be  by  his  side,  getting  far  too  ahead  of  herself.  “as  in  …  a  date?”  she  asks,  brow  raising  with  a  knowing,  little  glance.  “i  think  your  teammates  might  be  getting  a  little  jealous,”  she  says  in  jest,  nodding  and  shooting  a  smile  in  the  direction  behind  him  —  where  the  other  four  stars  were  huddled  up  and  shooting  not  -  so  -  subtle  glances  their  way. @enbloom

                      instant  relief  at  her  ability  to  read  between  his  lines.   it  saves  him  from  stumbling  over  himself  again,   allows  a  goofy  smile  to  takeover  his  features.      ❝   a  date—   if  you'd  do  me  the  honor.   ❞      something  charming  and  clever  sits  just  out  of  reach,   slipping  through  his  fingers  at  her  nod  to  his  teammates.   already  knows  what  he'll  find  when  he  looks,   so  he's  slow  to  turn  his  gaze  away  from  her.      ❝   right.   them.   maybe  they've  started  their  own  fan  club  for  everyone's  favorite  broadcaster.   ❞      he  leans  closer  to  her.   to  give  them  something  to  talk  about,   of  course,   not  because  he  would  take  any  excuse  to  bridge  the  distance.      ❝   they're  a  bit  late.   i've  already  cornered  that  market.   ❞      there  is  it  again   —   lines  beside  his  eyes  and  a  dopey  grin.      ❝   do  you  have  time  to  go?   ❞

"see?  it's  on  silent  —  come  back  to  bed."  camisole  peaks  out  from  beneath  the  sheets  wrapped  around  her,  eyes  finally  pulling  themselves  away  from  her  phone  as  the  loss  of  warmth  settles  in.  eyes  normally  jaded  and  stoic  under  constant  pressure  soften,  glancing  upward.  "please?" / @enbloom

                      when  she  exits  the  bed,   she  sends  a  silent  curse  to  whoever  invented  mobile  devices.   whatever  conglomerate  gave  eunjin  the  option  to  work  from  home  would  feel  her  wrath  somehow,   someway.   she's  on  her  seventh  round  of  brooding  when  the  silence  breaks,   pulling  her  attention  back  to  earth.      ❝   took  you  long  enough.   ❞      it's  meant  to  sound  stern,   but  she's  already  melting  around  the  edge.   counts  it  as  a  victory  any  time  she  can  beat  out  duty  calling.   she  hovers  just  near  the  edge  of  the  bed,   pondering  aloud.      ❝   will  it  stay  on  silent?   could  you  bare  my  company  just  a  little  longer?   ❞
