Somatic transgender [ somatic – related to the body ] – an individual who experiences dysphoria/incongruence specifically with their physical body. They might not suffer from gender dysphoria due to their current gender presentation, but feel an acute mismatch between their physical sex and their internal sense of self. Roughly speaking, these are all people who connect their transgender identity primarily with the somatic aspect, and/or feel the somatic aspect most strongly, and plan to change their body in the future.

of course, it is entirely individual ! ! but the core foundation of this term is body dysphoria.
