attempting to slay the male defaultism hydra with my "its misogyny" sword but every time I cut off one excuse two more (frankly increasingly bizarre) excuses take its place

Language is dynamic. Meanings of words shift over time. "Man" was used to be the catch-all term for all humans, and many considered "Woman" to be a subservience term, rendering women inherently objectified. The suffix "Wo" is an old english re-renderance of "wifman" or "Wifmon", where "man/mon" means human, and "wif", unsurprisingly means wife. Hence, "woman" means, basically, "wife of the human". That's textbook objectification. Therefore, from your own logic, it's weirdly progressive to default to "little guy" or "idk man" because it linguistically recognizes the humanity of the poster in classical English. "But the meaning of words and our relationship to them changes over time!" I hear some cry! This is also true, which would also render this useless argument, still useless, because the male default is effectively gender neutral in the 21st century. It's the same thing as "you guys" and how it can be said to an exclusive group of women. I will concede and agree this is a side-effect of male centralization, because historically that is how language is used. But, the "centralization" has loosened to the point we say "hey gurl" to men and "hi man" to women. So, all terms are gender neutral if you think hard enough, because language is malleable, and society's decentralization of the male term is a net societal good. If you're worried there is a gender default, we've killed it Nietzsche-style like we've killed god with our own society (a little abridged but you get the point). Secretly progressive!
