My Clive Barker moment. I was attending a San Diego Comic Con in the 1980's and a friend of mine asked me to get some of his Clive Barker graphic novels signed for him. I stood in line and when it was may turn to get things signed I presented the Graphic Novels. Mr. Barker said, "Oh these are well read. You must be a big fan of my work." "These are for a friend. I'm not into horror, my brain comes up with terrible nightmares all on its own." "Really?" Mr. Barker asks as he's signing the books. "Tell me one." (Probably just being polite.) "Okay. I was working in an airport, cutting up dead bodies for airplane food. It didn't really bother me because they were already dead. Kind of recycling because maybe the family couldn't afford a burial plot. So anyway, its my break and I go out to the Airport Lobby to buy a soda. This frantic woman comes up to me and hands me a flyer. "Can you help me?" she asks, "My son went missing here yesterday." I look at the flyer and its the kid I just cut up.
