Life as I know it.

Alright, long post, but I feel like this could maybe help offer some perspective, so I will take the time to write this.

Nobody can ever tell you, definitively, whether you’ve met your twin soul or you haven’t.  Same here.  But I can offer some examples from my own life and discuss with you the lessons I learned and the observations I made, so I’m going to do just that, by telling you a story about a guy who, according to all the “signs,” might have seemed like a strong contender.

This isn’t something I often think about, but revisiting old journals had me contemplating how somewhere around 2007—2008, I’d encountered a person who felt startlingly kindred to me.  What was even more startling was the fact that we’d never met in person; I’d read something he’d written, felt drawn to him, and we established a very sporadic email correspondence.   (Eventually we did meet in person; we’ll get to that in a bit.)  It never went anywhere intimate, nor do I wistfully wish that it had.  However, seeing in my journals my impressions of him and of the connection, I realized this:

Had I known back then about “twin flames” or “twin souls,” I might have thought that’s who this guy was.

Why?  You’ll find people writing about twin flame “signs” all over the internet:  not “signs” as in “synchronicities,” but “signs” as in “symptoms.”  I wasn’t aware of these until just two years ago, but I’ll list some of these indicators as regards my connection to that guy just to illustrate this case (And, for the purposes of this post, let’s call this guy Mr. Wow.).
