Tick tock goes the clock, even for the Doctor… … … … At least, it does now, after three years of the clock being stopped.

((I’m finally back in business! Here’s my new blog.))

((This time, I’m going nice and simple. Basic rules without much restrictions. Very low expectations for my activity. An almost completely canon muse, so I don’t have to break my brain building a universe that I don’t really care about. Uses a muse from my biggest obsession ever, Vocaloid, to ensure that I’m somewhat interested. A mostly crack premise, inspired by one of my favorite ever crack characters. Icons made by myself in MMD, since I’m getting into that lately.))

((I basically just created a blog that takes little to no effort to run, that I am certain to care about at least a little, and that still manages to be fun and entertaining for me and my partner. And yes, I’m totally bragging. That’s why I’m using the icon that I literally named “I ROCK.jpg”.

This is my best chance yet at getting back into RP. I know I’ve said that before, but I always was trying to get back into it the way I used to, and the way I used to just isn’t an option anymore because the effort I used to put into my RP is now going into my animation, 3D modelling, and music (and as much as I love RP, you gotta admit that those three are ten times more impressive than RP is, so it’s probably effort well spent).))

((And to make things a little easier, I just went through my “following” list and saved all the blogs that I have any memories of really interacting with, as well as a few more for my personal blog shit (since my personal is a sideblog), so I’ll be following a significant chunk of you guys with my new blog as well!))

((Sorry that this has been taking longer than I expected! The preliminary stuff that I have to do before I can get started on this new blog turned out to be harder than I thought; I still haven’t finished it, and I was working on it even before I started applying it to this stuff for other reasons.))

((That, and I kinda realized that my idea wouldn’t really work. So, I considered my options…

…and realized that the part of RP that I really want to come back to- the part that I don’t just want to relegate to my personal art- is the crack-y stuff. Not necessarily all crack, but all lighthearted and simple. Because, like, during a serious moment, your character needs to tone down their personality, because it kills the mood if they’re still at full-force.

So, the best way to have a fun character and always stay in-character is to have a simple character with no serious motivation and no character development. A one-dimensional character.

And, see, I honestly have the perfect character for that. A character who I felt didn’t last long enough in their own canon, and worked really well at what they did.

((So, I finally have an idea for how to get back into RP, after two months of being like, “Well, I wanna RP, but I literally have no ideas on what to do.”

It won’t be an RP in the traditional sense. This’ll have a slower update schedule, and honestly, that works better for me.

See, of my various OCs that I’ve created for Tumblr, I’ve always been especially proud of three:

Default Pony, a MLP:FiM OC that I created back in 2011 when I hadn’t yet realized how awful Bronies are, who was the daughter of the CEO of a massive corporation and at some point got given away to one of my friends after I tired of writing her;

Hulma Emay, a Tumblr/Haruhi Suzumiya OC (she was the representative of the Magic Anons who watched over Haruhi; she was also a massive Haruhi/Kyon shipper);

and finally, Gerald Harpsen, a StarCraft OC who was the captain/lead researcher of the Science Vessel Halo (and, like all Science Vessel captains, was a total mad scientist).

As some of you know, Haruhi Aioi is one of my OCs, but she’s older than this blog; I originally created her as a Is This A Zombie? OC who used Subaru Nakajima as a faceclaim and was less concerned about being an interdimensional space totalitarian and more concerned about fighting Megalos (the monsters from ITAZ?). When I revived her for this blog, I completely re-imagined her from the ground up.

The thing is, Haruhi was never even really that interesting to me; the original Haruhi’s blog died, like, a week after I started it. This version of her was more interesting, but her entire character was ultimately an excuse to write an “arrogant” character, and that didn’t really work out the way I’d planned and I lost interest after a few months.

However, I love the three OCs mentioned above.

And I’ve got just a perfect idea for how to reimagine Gerald Harpsen.

Now, what do I mean by non-traditional RP that’ll have a slower update schedule? Simple.))

Gerald Harpsen’s blog will be an RP blog, not an ask blog, but it will still rely on pictures. Because, see, I realized several months ago that, while I enjoy writing, writing literature is also a bit tedious. And, lately, I’ve been getting into 3D animation. Like, really into. I’ve spent the last couple months planning out an original MikuMikuDance series that I just started creating the models for a couple days ago in Metasequoia. While I’m at that, I was already planning on creating a new avatar for myself to replace Nagi Sanzenin and Suzu Hagimura, and I thought: “Hey, why don’t I also take this opportunity to fix my Tumblr situation?”

The one problem with this plan is that it’s gonna take a while to set up; probably, like, a couple weeks. And, in order to avoid it from clashing too much with my original MMD series, it’s probably gonna start with half-assed models that will look decent, but will also probably have pretty bad sameface.

TL;DR: I’ve lost interest in Haruhi, but I’ve got an interesting new RP idea with another one of my older OCs that involves original MikuMikuDance models, but it’ll take a couple weeks or so to get that all ready.
