 “I do not suppose, that you are part of this plan on kidnapping anyone and putting them in a situation that seems almost absurd.” There is a forced calm on Fredret visage, as if barely restraining himself from exploding right now.

Though there is nothing more that Narilmor would want, then to extend the virtues of meridia into the city itself. His lack of power would be a affront to the name of Meridia. 

 “You are….a familiar sight.”

Humans, he had humans before. Before the purification, sometimes in court. Sometimes in war. 

 “Your armour, reminds me of something.”

Very few strangers passed by on the streets stand out in a way that actually matters to Abnur. Hundreds upon hundreds of people with feature’s he’s never seen before, likely will never see again, and yet his mind takes the greatest notice in familiarity. Apparently, this fellow approaching him must operate the same. “I could say the same about you.”

He takes a step back, looks the mer up and down to try and get some sense of who he could be, where he’s from. All the battlemage can pin down is theories, best guess being that the armor is scavanged from and Ayleid ruin, but it hardly clears up the confusion.

The miqo’te’s ears slightly droop at the others words,a small but understanding smile forming on his face. 

“ More so an adventurer…..Then again my friends would give you another answer which would just be ‘Yes he is a hero’ ” He replies with a gentle chuckle before giving a small nod

“ After so many years,having this quiet moment feels odd as I am not used to it…..but I of course welcome it,I’ve needed it for so long “

Oh great, he’s humble.

“ At least you had a chance to be back home,I haven’t left this place at all “

Brown eyes watch the other grab his walking staff,gently folding his arms across his chest as he speaks to the other.

  “ Well the joy for me is well…I have no need to worry as much anymore,most of the burden of making sure the Star I hail from is safe has been removed from my shoulders ”

“I wish I could say for certain that I was able to return. My memory of the time is… clouded. Best not to dwell on it.”

A small huff, quiet and discontented.

  “ Ah I see you have been returned to this place once again ”

The Miqo’te’s tone to the other was a soft one,knowing the other probably wasn’t all too happy about being pulled back into this place after having left it

 “ I doubt this place will ever go to pieces anytime soon….I’d rather it not as having a break from being an adventurer is doing me well ”

“Unfortunately, I can’t seem to escape it.”

He grabs his walking staff from where it’s “sheathed” on the back of his armor, ever so slightly leaning against it as he stops to speak to the other.

The Ascian turns around to face the one who bestows upon him this constructive criticism, blinks a few inconspicuous blinks, then bows briefly. A display of gratitude.

“Why, thank you ever so much for bringing this to my attention, Sir! Luckily I’ve still a free haircut voucher on me that was given upon my arrival to Spirale City. Mayhap tis time I made use of it.” He also adds with a smile, “Surely someone with your poorly preserved appearance is speaking from experience, thus I wager twould be unwise of me to not heed your advice.”

He goes through an array of emotions in a matter of seconds: confusion, shock, annoyance, and finally an anger that he has to push down, keep from exploding so that he simply broods.

The audacity of youth these days, in here and Tamriel. He scrunches his face up in a rare display of strong fury, yet the rest of his body remains calm, still where he stands.

“Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes. Matthew, was it?”

It’s spoken in a sarcastic tone, of course, the usual look of irritation painted upon Abnur’s face as he approaches the Miqo’te. At least someone he vaguely recognizes is still around.

Matthew did notice the other’s gaze constantly moving over to his ears,not thinking too much about it since a few others in this place had the same reaction to him when first meeting. It seems Miqo’te’s are not a thing for some people. Even tho he wasn’t the biggest fan of having eyes on him -kinda hard to do back in Ethyris when you’re the Warrior of Light- he didn’t mind so much here……Well at first he didn’t enjoy it too much but after learning a bit more about this place and how people here are from different universes,Matthew grew to accept that people are going to be curious about him

  “ I apologise for not being much help to you ” He replies with a nervous smile,rubbing the back of his neck for a moment before his ears perked up at the others question. A confused expression formed on his face for a moment at the mention of ‘Khajiit’. He had never heard of this before…..Not even during his time in Elpis was that name uttered.

  “ Ah I come from Eorzea…..If you would like to know I am what’s called a Miqo’te. I am guessing they are similer to what you call Khajiit? ”   

“It’d be hypocrisy on my part if I held it against you. It’s quite alright.” Frustrating, by all means, but not something to lambast the stranger for, not that it would have been his focus either way.

The other’s surprise was answer enough. Tharn ignored the dreadful feeling of a sinking heart, pushing on through disappointment and some bitter thoughts directed at whatever greater power had control. The word “Miqo’te” was repeated in hush breaths, a moment of silence delaying his response.

“Yes, very cat-like both in nature and appearance, most to a greater extent than you are. Fascinating people, though I imagine they would flounder here seeing as there’s only one moon.” His eyes remained on the other’s features, “Although, I can't help but wonder the similarities. No matter - I don’t believe I ever introduced myself.”

 Olgierd, is at least a very good host to willing and unwilling people. Though there is very much something he could do, the acts of getting money is rather easy to him now , much different from his younger more foolish self. But his heart remains of stone and there is very little people can actually do about it. The demon itself could not even touch him here, hence the deal and wish would remain unbroken for a long time until entropy ends everything. 

 “Why not offer to teach magic? Surely that would attract fools who desire the excitement.”

Then again…considering his own history…

He’s quick to fleer, almost instinctively so. “I’m not a people-person. Being a politician is torturous enough, I think I’d rather be put out of my misery than teach.” 

Another drink punctuates the comment, followed by words just a bit more silent. “Besides, there’s something interfering. No matter how hard I try to use magic I… I can’t. It’s not any sort of block across the city because I can still do some things, and I’ve seen others capable of it.” he brings interlocked hands up in front of  his mouth, brow furrowing. “It’s both horribly fascinating and miserable. I intend to look into it more, but I don’t suppose anyone will pay me to do research like that - but no matter.”
