a   raised   eyebrow,          a   stifled  laugh,     but   lennox    obligingly proffers   a   hand   for   the   broom.          ❝     careful   now,     ❞          she   chides,     nose   wrinkling   at   a   discarded   coke   bottle,      (      perhaps   it’s   the   athlete   in   her,     but   she   can’t   quite   stomach   the   thought   of    that    much    sugar.      )         ❝     or   they’re   not   going   to   tip   you.     ❞                which   is,   she   has   come   to   realize,     the   main   draw     of   letting   tourists   into   their   sleepy   little   commune.        she’d   wondered,     really,     after   a   lifetime   in   a   commune   far   from   any   sort   of   attraction.         then   she’d   gotten   her   first   ten   euro   tip.          ❝     if   they   weren’t   slobs,     they   wouldn’t   be   tourists.        besides,     you   don’t    have    to   clean   up   after   them.      ❞          not   that   anyone   else   would,     so   —   but   she   keeps   her   private   thankfulness   just   that.

         it was a blessing mars’ job never required him to work nights. he was always done before seven and he appreciated that. of course, he had a tendency to linger with those whom he’d stricken a conversation with, but he still got out in a timely manner. wandering out the tour building with a cigarette between his fingers, lighting it quickly, he’s pull his light jacket tighter around him.  his stomach was rumbling. for a person’s who job it was to know the ins and the outs of the city, he had no idea where to eat. approaching someone who didn’t seem too lost in their own world, he smiled.   “ not to bother, but i’m a bit conflicted. i have no idea what i want to eat. “   he cracks a smile, flicking some ash off his cigarette.   “ i’m not really in the mood for italian. “   he chuckles.

   °☆.。AFTER DOMINIC, decided that he wanted to stay longer he had made his way over to ferry jetty, where he decided to ask for a job. knowing that he might as well take up a job now he decided to stay here for over a few months, yet he got rudely declined by someone saying that they were not going to offer him a job for the fact he was a tourist. something he, of course, could understand but he did have to make money one way or another. ‘ are you.. sure that you don’t need a barista or something ?? or someone to help out with flyers or posters for eve- ’ once again interrupted by a loud NO. facial expression of sadness clear on his face. ‘ – alright, alright. i got the hint – ’ yet they continued yelling at him for being rather annoying, stupid and loud while dominic had never raised his voice. ‘ i got it, alright.. ’ going off, to get coffee at the kiosk as he mumbled softly. ‘ tourists get treated like shit here, don’t they ?? it’s weird how quick they lost their damn patience. ’

ambling alongside the other, gabe absentmindedly kicked a couple pieces of loose garbage lying in his path. the corners of his lips turned up in a small grin as he snaked his hands so they rested in the pockets of his jacket. “lo siento,” he apologized in his native tongue. “i’d help, but i guess i’m too slobbish to help,” he teased glancing over. while he was meticulous when it came to his own personal spaces, the state of the alley was not one of his concerns. plus, he was finding enjoyment in orion getting so worked up about it.

shea’s eyes rolled with intensity. the girl had a very special disdain for some tourists, specifically the one’s that trashed their beautiful streets. “they think just because they have a plane ticket and a room at the palace, they can do whatever they want.” she said with a shake of her head. she bent down and picked up a few crumpled cans and loose papers from the ground. “can i ask why you’re cleaning up?” she asked, throwing the trash she collected in a bag. “do you have to do community service or something.” not a lot of people just cleaned up out of the goodness in their hearts.

      ALMOND ORBS STARE BLANKLY,    only after a few seconds she’s able to speak, praying to remain with class.   “even if i wanted to help you, i’d think about it twice   …   man, you got an attitude, ”   arms folded against her chest, a deep sigh leaving her lips,   “ not all of us are like that, you know. ”

part of liyah almost felt bad for the other - she had seen firsthand how careless people were with their litter. the other part of her was offended that the other seemed to have an issue with the tourists being there ( a group she was a part of ). her brow quirked at his comment, clenching her jaw at his tone. “well, since i’m such a fucking slob, i’m not sure if i SHOULD help,” she quipped. “maybe if you could ask a bit nicer i’d be more inclined to offer my assistance AND encourage others to actually throw away their shit.”

“ OH MY . & THEY SAY AMERICANS ARE RUDE . “ the redhead crossed her arms over her chest , obviously a bit offended by the other’s words . “ may i have you know that i have NEVER , EVER made a single mess without cleaning it up myself ?? so i think maybe you should be a little more … cognizant of who you generalize . “

‘ I  K N E W  we shouldn’t have gone through the alley , ’ muttering mournfully, matt stared at the trash that tourists had thoughtlessly scattered on their streets. while found the thought of tourists coming in to make a mess before leaving annoying, he couldn’t bring himself to build quite enough frustration to start cleaning up the sticky and wet trash. he nudged a can of soda towards orion’s broom to try and appease him. ‘ as much as i love it whenever you go lorax, when do you think we can actually go get lunch ?  ’ 

     faye could practically see the frustration in the way that orion was moving and questioned whether intervening would drive him to want to cut her head off. she arched an eyebrow, being completely useless as she stood on the sidelines just watching. perhaps it was entertaining to her for him to be attempting to do a fruitless job –– cleaning after the tourists –– or what he tokened ‘slobs’. “you know ? thanks for the offer, but i think i’m content over here.”

“Dios mio? So we speak Spanish now? Good to know, I better brush up” Gigi laughs, bending down to help the boy collect emptied bottles and torn up tourist guides. “It’s disgusting what they do to the place, but what can I say? I’m still basically a tourist myself,” she shrugs. She’d been coming to this town since she was little, on family vacations. She never imagined she’d end up living here, but her dream job wasn’t one she could follow.

    “do you ever just go online shopping and end up buying a bunch of things you’ll never ever use? because i just bought this huge pink sparkling faux fur coat but – when will i ever get a chance to wear something that extra around here? never, i will tell you. i mean, i guess i could, but there are limits even to my level of extra.”

shea wasn’t a clumsy girl. she knew her left from her right, she walked without tripping. yet, she was always getting herself hurt. “okay, listen, it’s not as bad as it looks.” she said reassuringly. her wrist looked pretty fucking bad. red and inflamed. the teen slipped her brace back on and tightened the velcro. “it only looks that bad because it happened yesterday.”
