I have never in my life endured the amount of stress I am currently experiencing. For the past two and a half years, I have become way too familiar with the insides of hospitals, the intimate details of my loved ones’ health issues, the grueling behind the scenes of recovery, the task of parenting my sick parents, and now that I have finally found someone to stand with me through this absolute nightmare, to hold me up when it’s too much to bare alone, he is now hospitalized as well. I don’t know how much longer I can function under this amount of stress and tragedy while still being expected to do all of the other things like go to work and bathe and eat and treat others who are not experiencing anything that even comes close to the hellish experiences I am currently navigating. They all seem completely irrelevant. I am beginning to feel like I am the plague. Everyone in my life is crumbling right before my eyes and I can’t do anything to make it stop.
