I know it’s getting bad when I’m proud of myself for only eating a meal

I was always more of a shooting star. Something you wished upon and hoped it made your dreams come true. Bright and beautiful but only there for second.

constantly trying to save others but who’s around to save me?

all I’ve ever wanted is to feel safe and loved. this world has been cruel and unkind since an early age. i bite the hand that feeds me because the candy is just a lure. to break down the walls of my house I spent years building and rebuilding. every body taking a brick as they depart when mine is no longer of use. no longer appealing. my feelings “too much”. Self destruct in 3, 2, 1. From ground zero I start. The taste of candy still lingering on my tongue. My instinct, to bite. A safety net that will no longer protect me if I want different results. No longer starving for love, I do not take any food that is handed to me. I am picky. Something sweet to soothe the soul. Yet savory and dances on my tongue for awhile. In a bowl: sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, flour, baking soda, salt, chocolate chips. I provide everything I’ve ever wanted. A treat to enjoy in the safety of my home. With love, from me to me.
