Anyone that knew Jude wouldn’t be surprised that he was out in the courtyard for his workout routine, but nobody here knew him at all, let alone well enough to predict him. Not knowing anyone was part of why he was out there getting air, not bothering with the rules, but it wasn’t the only reason. Pushing himself physically was cathartic, so he’d amped up his routine now that he was in this new place. That made it easier to get lost in it, and he had definitely lost himself in it today. His entire world spanned no further than a few feet in circumference, and his eyes were trained on the ground in front of him as he counted under his breath. 

Emmett was making his way back across campus, having picked up pre-ordered lunches for himself and Eddie. Whistling to himself, he was lost in his own world. That was, until he spotted the newest Guarded on campus alone in the Courtyard, doing what looked to be a workout routine. Making his way over, he let out a laugh as his eyes followed the up and down movement of the other man. “Hiya buddy. Man, you’re workin’ harder than anyone around here on those guns. Is there gonna be a show later?”

Amelia: Thank you again for taking care of me. This place i really weird, isn't it? I thought it was chaotic and violent at home.

Emmett: Aim! Don't you ever thank me for that, you know I will any day at any time. I'm so glad you're feeling better. I was so worried about you. It is, I know. It's a different world out here, Aim. But I've got you.

Getting to sleep hadn’t been easy for Eddie, not with so many people getting sick. He had melted down the night before, but Emmett had been right there to take care of him and help him through it. Still, he worked himself up enough that once he fell asleep, he stayed asleep. It was moments like this that it would be obvious that someone was going to have to tell him that his mom was a liar, and someone was going to have to figure out that all of his medications (even his inhaler) were all placebos. The anxiety that he felt because of his mother’s manipulations was something that was easily overwhelming and touched his life almost all of the time. Now was another example, but seeing Emmett in a tailspin too made Eddie realize as he woke up and came to terms with what was happening, that he had to let it. “Go, go get her.” His head was spinning, if she was contagious then they were going to get sick too. A thousand different facts about germs crossed his mind and he got up to get all of the disinfectant, but he kept it to himself. He wouldn’t stop his love from taking care of his sister; he would just have to prepare for her arrival.

Despite his need to get to Amelia, Emmett could feel Eddie’s stress and tension rising. Pausing what he was doing, he moved to the Guarded’s side of the bed, sinking to his knees, palms up, eyes on his Sir’s. “Sir...I can feel you. I hear you. I know this is hard for you. I know it’s stressful, and I know you’re hesitant.” Swallowing hard, Emmett continued slowly. “I don’t think you need to get the disinfectant, sweetheart. Not just yet. I don’t think she’s contagious. Let’s look at this logically, okay? Stay with me, no room for doubt, just straight facts. There are people staying with the sick people, and all of them are saying that they are just fine. We were all in big groups yesterday, and still only some of us are sick. And, from what people are saying, and based on the Headmaster’s memo...It looks like whatever this is came from the food in the Dining Hall yesterday. Remember, we didn’t eat there last night? We came home and I made your favorite. That means it’s not contagious, baby.” Emmett did his best to remain unemotional, and to be as calm as Eddie needed him to be. “I know it’s hard, and it’s a big scary. But I promise I won’t let anything happen to you. You don’t even have to see her, I’ll take care of her, and she’ll stay in our guest room. I’ll sanitize it all, don’t you worry. And if you want me to sleep on the couch until we’re sure I’m not sick, I will.” Maybe now wasn’t the time, but Eddie had more to say in the moment. “I think maybe, when Amelia is better and things have calmed down, you and I should take some time to look through your medicine together, okay? I just want to double check everything, and make sure that you have what you really need. Okay?” He asked, anxiety washing over him.

Amelia: This isn't a very nice welcome. :( I should have stayed with you.

If anyone still needs a partner for this weekend you can send me a message. I wouldn’t mind going but needing a partner is preventing that. In case I’m not able to attend I hope everyone has a good time, and you’ll find me on the track. 

I see you’ll be taking my beautiful, amazing, wonderful, fantastic, little sister. I’ll be nearby, the whole time, if she needs anything. Anything. 

I’m aware everyone is preoccupied with the fuckfest that is about to happen this weekend, but I’m here to remind everyone to get excited for the production of Grease next weekend. All the performers have worked our asses off to make this a good show, hope to see you all there. 

Damn skippy, it’s gonna be one hell of a great time, I tell you what! Get hype, get lit, get jazzed, get READY because next weekend we are stealing. The. Show! You’re gonna kill it brother, rock it out, rock it down, and turn it out! I’m proud of ya man, you’ve worked hard, we all have. 

You have. You always have, and I know that you always will. I’ve always felt like I was too fragile or weak to do things, but you make me feel like I’m capable. I want to experience it with you too. You know I don’t know very much about that stuff, just what we’ve done together. I want to know what I’m doing, so I can take care of you. Which ones are you interested in? I haven’t read the list yet, honestly. I just told myself that we have to go, because there is good reason. Because I want to.

You’re right about that, forever. I’m glad I can do that for you Eddie. That’s important, because you’re not fragile. You’re amazing. You’re strong. You’re wonderful. And you can do anything. Anything. I mean that. And I want you to remember that. You do take care of me babe, I don’t want you to think you don’t. I just think it could be fun. To learn more, like you said. Maybe have some new things to try. Explore. I want to do it all with you. Sometimes I just don’t say that right. I think all of them look good, really. I’d like to do them all, if you’re up for it. But if it’s too much we can narrow it down. Eddie...I love you. So much. 

I feel good. You’ve made that a constant thing, you know. It’s amazing. It’s up to both of us, not just me. I’m comfortable with a lot of things when I’m with you. I think I’ve proven that by now.

Good, that’s all I want. I have? I’ll keep it up. Well, then, yeah. I want to go with you. I want to experience it with you. It could be fun. We don’t have to do them all if you don’t want. We can pick together. Have you looked at the list?
