But they've been INSANELY nice to me.

I know you're hurting but that makes me all the more glad you can't reach her anymore. I won't question you on having loved her, but I want you to really think about if you could really call what you're doing now love still.

You say you'll be happy to just share a Spotify playlist with her still, to do Jams. That's it? You say it's not the same as needing to be a safe space for her, but isn't it? You've been demanding that she stay connected to you for your own comfort. You phrase it like "wishing we could still be friends" "wanting her to be happy" if you really cared how she felt you would have stopped. You would have been looking for joy in her eyes rather than resignation.

This would have never happened.

Brother, I love you. But you are wrong for this. And even more wrong for how you are trying to handle her healing. A thing that after your apology and admission of guilt has nothing to do with you.

I've told you every nice way I can, leave her alone.

YOU are the danger. YOU are the pain. YOU are the rotten thing slowly killing her by latching on.

This isn't good for you. And it certainly isn't good for her. Never forget the girl she was, but don't you dare wish for her back because you are the one that killed that part of her. Do not expect her to continue to embrace you even if you've put the weapon down.
