blog about dancing
https://blog.steezy.co/whats-your-why-as-a-dancer/
“Everyone in this world has a way to escape reality even for the smallest of moments. I’m so lucky to have found my escape at such a young age and I never had the heart to let it go since then. Why? Because dance is such an open book. It has no limitations. There is never a time when you’re the “perfect dancer”. There is always room for growth. There is always something you don’t know. There’s never a dull moment, especially when you get to share your knowledge with people who are just as passionate. Dance is like an endless hallway of doors. Even when you open one, there will always be another waiting to be discovered. That’s the adventure of dancing. That’s my escape.” – Regina Lustre

I like this outfit the way one person moves passes it through to the next person- how there is the CONNECTION
Horn’s White Body Fan (1972) further interrogates the body’s spatial impact. The extension of gesture through worn fans, she exaggerates the scale of the body and the impact of its gesture. The centrality of the body to the artwork serves as a metaphor for space as dependent on the motion of its inhabitants. Experienced space, unlike static representation, is controlled by the negotiation of inhabitants, shifting intended parameters and generating an intimate dialogue between built form and bodies. The fragmentation of ‘perfected’ static form reveals more sensual, dynamic properties absorbed by space when in dialogue with the body. Here, Horn reveals behaviour as a source of sensual spatial condition, proposing a more dynamic, empathetic approach to space making.
How could i make things that connect people when they dance?!/ How could the outfits symbolise community and connection
the body and dance as an archive
How do cultural and social contexts reflect in the body of a dancer?
