“I mean… that sounds right? I wanna say yes,” Dawn hummed. “Yeah I think that’s right! Skeleton Luge is the one that’s headfirst I’m pretty sure.”

“Why are we talking about Skeleton Luge again? Are you interested in picking it up or something?”

“Oh no, absolutely not. How can I possibly forget about this?”

“Because it makes me look stupid,” Emilia pouted.

“Were you expecting me to have changed much?”

“I don’t know, years can do things to people.”

A smile swiftly moved across Charlotte’s features, turning into a laugh. “I completely agree with you, I do, but I don’t think we can judge him based on a trench coat, no matter how ugly it is.” 

“Oh we can totally judge based on a trench coat. A trench coat is so lame.”

“You know me, I never do.”

“Good to know that hasn’t changed.”

“Oh Gods– oh Gods, what was that called?” Dawn voiced her panic as she seemed to search through her brain for an answer. “I’m blanking– do you remember Em?”

“Oh! Oh! I know this one,” Em replied, her face scrunching up, trying to think of what Dawn was mentioning. “Skeleton Luge! That’s it! Or is just Luge? I get those ones mixed up always. Which one is the head first?”

Stepping out into the fresh air, Freya shielded her eyes from the sunlight that suddenly blinded her. It was a beautiful day, and the sun was blaring down on the camp far hotter than she had expected. For a moment, all she saw was white, and even though she was momentarily blinded, she continued moving her legs, which was ultimately the wrong move. Slamming into the solid figure before her, she stumbled backwards, barely managing to catch herself before she fell. “Sorry!” she managed, steadying herself. “Sorry,” she said again, offering an apologetic smile, “The bright light blinded me for a second there.

Emilia put her hands out to help steady Freya. “I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to look directly at the sun.”

“My lungs are in great shape,” Oliver protested and then raised a brow, “A face like mine? Uh… thanks.”

“Sure,” Emilia replied. “Don’t let that go to your head, yeah?”

“I’ve been doing that for like fifteen years now, still feel pretty good,” Oliver said, not being completely honest, “Nice to know I’m still remembered around here.”

“Uh huh, because I totally believe that,” Emilia teased. “Who could forget a face like yours?”

chris had thought she would have the archery range to herself, given it’s very nearly the middle of the night.  as it is, she can hear someone walking nearby, and she turns to look at the noise.  “can i help you?” she asks, an arrow nocked on her bow.

“Oh just ignore me, I’m hiding something of my brother’s here. Promise to keep the secret?”

“What?” Oliver asked, “You suddenly not allowed to smoke here anymore?”

“That’s if you’re okay with killing your lungs Oli,” Em replied.

“I think we both know that’s not an option,” Nate smirked at his little sister and patted her on the head before sitting down.

Emilia rolled her eyes at Nate. “Will you ever not make fu of me for doing stupid things?”

“Nope, nothing of the sort,” Ciara said with a chuckle, “But no one should hold that against you if your reason is that you’re drink.”

“Really? I mean they say drunk words are sober thoughts.”
