~FAQ~

What is this?

Spuriken Week is like any other for-fun fandom event. Anyone who wants to participate will create works celebrating Cole Cassidy and Genji Shimada, AKA Spuriken!

How does it work?

There is a prompt for each day of the week. People can make works of any kind based on those prompts centered around Spuriken. I'll reblog any I see to this blog! You can do as many or as few prompts as you'd like, and they can be posted on any day of the week. The only thing I ask is anything posted for this week is tagged as #SpurikenWeek2026

When is this?

The first week of August, going from August 3rd to August 9th of 2026!

Are there any rules?

No Homophobia, Transphobia, Racism, Ableism. NO AI. Other than that, and tagging #spurikenweek2026, not really. The whole point is to have fun! It can be illustration, writing, gifs, collages, interpretive dance, literally whatever you want. As long as it's focused on Spuriken (Yes other characters can be in the works, of course, as long as they aren't the main focus)! And as I said I'm not going to be sitting here tracking what prompts people do on what days. Again, don't create stress for yourself. We're just vibing.

What about NSFW?

Go nuts, show nuts. The only thing I ask is tag your works as appropriate. I probably won't reblog anything that isn't tagged and doesn't have an option to not view the work (i.e. being under a readmore, ect). I also personally recommend hosting the work on a site besides tumblr if it's more explicit as I won't be able to put anything too explicit on this blog to try and keep in line with tumblr tos. My goal here isn't to limit anyone, I just want to make sure we work around the platforms we're on.

Have you done this before?

Nope! I went looking to see if anyone is still hosting a Mcgenji/Spuriken event and as far as I can tell nobody has for at least a couple of years now. I've taken part in previous events, just haven't run any of those old ones over the last 10 years.

Hammad is one of the most thoughtful, considerate, and hard-working people I know -- and while he has tried his best to provide for his family under these immensely difficult circumstances, he now needs our help to keep him and his family alive.

Picture this: Your life has been turned upside down instantly; everything you have worked your whole life for -- gone in an instant. Everything you once knew turned to rubble and destruction. Your home, where you grew up and created childhood memories with -- gone. Your job, where you dedicated your energy and effort into building a career you loved -- gone. The most basic necessities we take for granted -- warmth, fresh air, the ability to move around freely and safely -- ripped away from you.

These are only a few of the difficulties that Hammad and his family have been facing for over 464 days. 

As you understand by now, there is only so much resilience the human body can endure, and the urgent need to do anything you can to save your family is the exact reason Hammad has allowed us the opportunity to help him and his family be freed from the immense suffering and stress they currently face.

His tent was recently flooded, damaging the little items that he had after losing everything, and destroying the little shelter he and his family had to protect them against the harsh elements.
