I just finished the DLC, and at first was so happy to see Teylan starting to embrace his Na'vi side. I was happy to see Ri'nela becoming an even better Tsahik. I was excited to see Nor again (I figured we would). but then as Nor kept talking about "Na'vi ways" and how hed "save his family" he started to annoy the hell out of me. he started acting like he was "better" than the other Sarentu & So'lek after connecting more with Eywa & his ancestors, getting on a moral high horse so to speak. and the scene where he purposely got the resistance killed pissed me off and I'm glad So'lek hit Nor, cause I wanted to. I totally understand the trauma especially with Alma, but the others were totally innocent bystanders that were leaving anyways. what really made me mad though was when Nor talked down on Ri'nela.

I really hope they allow the Sarentus' relationship be complicated. After all, there are so few of them, shouldn't they do everything they can to stay together and maintain the Sarentu clan? But what he did was an unforgivable offense(imo worse than what Mokasa did, but I'll only elaborate on that if anyone wants to hear my ¢5) ESPECIALLY to So'lek(I'm just realizing as I write this)

For the 16 years the Sarentus were in cryo, the resistance was the only family So'lek had. And now that So'lek is a Sarentu, I would be so disappointed if Nor is welcomed back with open arms.

Hes struggling with his identity as well, desperate to be Na'vi and learn the ways, but feels held back since hes knows more of "sky peoples ways"

I know a few of my family members who went to residential schools and got out, our families wanted to welcome them back into the culture and language, but bc of years of brainwashing trying to connect felt hard to them. They felt unworthy and shameful for what they endured. Like they would somehow taint our ceremonies somehow.

And then theres the other side of the coin, some came to glorify themselves bc they started attending ceremonies and learning the language, believing they were "higher/better" than the others who weren't learning. Putting their internal shame onto others by ridiculing them for what they don't know.

Which is how Nor is turning out. He thinks bc of his time away he was the only one to learn Na'vi ways. And that its somehow his job to steer his clan back to their ways. Which mind you no one asked him to, they're all trying to contribute in their own ways, but Nor only sees his ways as valid.

His mind is all about revenge on those that did this to him and his clan. Its definitely blinded him esp with what he did to Alma and the rest of the resistance. He thinks what he did was true justice, in a way it was esp towards Alma, but he sacrificed innocent lives in the process, and didn't seem to care. Which is what scared Ri'nela and So'lek.
