Headcannon 002: Blaise scored Exceed Expectations in every Transfiguration exam because he had to study twice as hard to get Crabbe and Goyle passing grades. Studying once to understand it himself then again to simplify the materials for them. Sure, he grumbled about it every time but he was a smug bastard and reveled in being as smart if not smarter then Granger.
