The slight breeze ran through my body, causing goosebumps. But at the same time, I got warmness from the hot sun. It was lovely I never had time to feel like this as I always felt the need to be surrounded by people all the time. Thriving on the approval I craved from them. Every last bit of that craving went away as I lay on the field, only hearing the chirps of the singing birds and the whistle of the wind. I closed my eyes drifting away into a darkness one that was peaceful, telling me to let it all out. Tears start to cover that darkness, but I don't wipe them away I just let them flow. But soon the moment was ruined as I hear a quiet but worried voice, “Hey, are you okay?”. I jolted up due to the voice startling me, wide eyed I look in the direction where the voice came from. It was a tanned boy who had a worried expression as he saw the tears flowing down my face. I wiped them quickly as I realized it was Johnny.

I recognized Johnny, he was sweet. We go to the same school together, have some of the same classes. Then and there we would be grouped as partners in projects. He was quiet but he slowly opened up to me as I cracked some jokes. He told me I was like someone in his gang named Two-bit. “I must meet him!” I joyfully said. I knew Johnny was hard to talk to so, I was happy when he said that. The reason why I knew Johnny, was that I would walk past him with his friends, and I never saw him say many words. I admit I kinda like him. His looks were nice and soft to look at. He may be quiet but, he had many reasons too, I heard his parents would beat him. And then...gosh, I didn’t like to think about it but, these Socs hurt him badly to cut it short. It was seen as he came into school with a bad cut on his face. He was jumpier than ever.
