“To be completely honest, I really didn’t expect to see you here.” Eyeing Leia with not quite distaste, perhaps skepticism, he cocks an eyebrow. “Whatever the case, I’m glad to see you again, Leia.”

Leia lowered her brow at the familiar face as he walked into her line of vision. “Don’t give me that look, Wedge. I come to the cantina all the time.” It was half a lie -- she came often on business, or to seek out contacts, but she hadn’t gone for pleasure in a long while. It had been months since Leia had relaxed at all, let alone taken a night off. “Glad to see you too. I miss anything interesting?”

Mara didn’t know how much Leia had known about the Jedi; or how much she herself knew. But She knew for a fact Leia couldn’t be both without breaking. Especially with how much time she devoted to both, she would never find time to live. ‘Maybe your doing too much,’ She commented,offering a slight smile. Leia  should do what she loved, not what everyone wanted for her. She knew the pain of not living for herself 

“If there’s anything I learned from a lifetime of war and intimidation -- it’s that too much is never enough.” Leia gave a rueful smile, going back absentmidedly to the task at hand: researching grips and handles for the impending creation of her light saber ... well, if she ever got her hands on one of those kriffing kyber crystals. “Thanks for looking out for me, though,” she said slowly, after a moment. “No one’s done that in a while.”

Honestly, who don’t I ship Leia with, tbh. But for real – I am the ultimate multishipper and I think that there’s chemistry in every pairing, so if you’re interested in a romantic ship, chances are that I’m 100% on board. Han/Leia is my OTP, but I’m not exclusive at all and would love to have a thousand more ships for my bby. Another major otp I have is Leia/Ezra, so please come at me with that. ‘C’mon, I think you need a break.’ Mara was able to endure a lot, but Leia, had almost beaten her. She had never seen a woman so tireless in everything she did. But the only difference, the redhead could tell, was the way Leia felt in the Force. Negative emotions made her feel concerned and outright worried about the toll everything was taking. She may not be a fan of her brother, but she respected Leia. 

Leia sighed, comforted by Mara’s concern. It wasn’t the redhead’s fault that she didn’t know Leia well enough to know that the word ‘break’ was not in her vocabulary. “Thanks, but no thanks,” she said, shooting Mara a grateful look. “I’ve been running on empty for years, now. Who knows -- if I rest now, I might not ever be able to start again.” She had missed out on the crucial adolescent years for training in any jedi’s life, and she would do all she could to make up for lost time now, inbetween senate hearings and diplomatic missions.

      *✧·˚.☾ it would be an easy mistake to make, but leia organa was not one to go down without a fight. so when her ship lost power and began to gravitate toward endor, after a routine post-battle checkup of the planet’s moons, she attempted to reroute the navigator. she had never been a pilot, just used tips and tricks she learned over her years with the rebellion, but she had managed to reset the flux capacitor and reboot the engine.

      *✧·˚.☾ the offending atmosphere, it seemed, did not like that. her ship became an asteroid, hurtling toward the planet’s surface at far too many miles an hour. it had crashed, knocked its captain unconscious, and she had yet to wake up. but she was definitely not dead, as evidenced by one solitary hand reaching up and grasping for something, anything, to pull herself up with. nothing. leia organa was certainly not dead -- not yet.
