The Family

Abby: My partner, married in all ways but legal. Yes, his name is a joke/reference. The instigator of all this madness.

R: Our first adopted demonling. Incubus. Appears somewhere in the range of 8-10 years old.

Zo: Infant with a direct bloodline to Lucifer. Still getting to know him, since he's too young to have much presence yet.

B: The newest addition to the bunch. Unspecified "species". Appears younger than R, maybe 6 or 7. Most active of the demonlings so far.

Just a small, fun little update to get me back into posting. Where I live, corn is very popular. And now that it's mostly full grown, B has developed a fondness for running through the stalks and "getting lost". Very fitting, considering the legends/urban folklore of cornfield demons. Abby and I are hoping to take everyone to a local farm later this year that sets up a corn maze every fall with a little scavenger hunt element. The two of us went alone last year, but I really think the cubs would have a lot of fun running the maze and picking pumpkins and feeding the goats.

Hello to my new followers! Sorry to have disappeared right after my last post, some friends of mine dragged me into the trenches for a certain CN otome game (iykyk) so I've mostly been dedicating my online time and energy to that. But I see you! And I appreciate the follows and messages I've received! I'm hoping to resume more frequent activity here, so uh, stay tuned I guess?

I find that I never know how to tag my posts here, or where to search for community. The astral children tag seems dead, spirit children is mainly woo-woo starseed nonsense, demon children is just a nightmare of people who genuinely hate kids.

Godspouse or spirit spouse? Possibilities for if I just want to yap about Abby. Not certain it's right for the whole family or just general posts.

Demonolatry, maybe. Even that doesn't feel right, since 1) I don't idolize my demons. They're family. And 2) none of them are highly known goetic or abrahamic demons. We are firmly in unrecorded territory.

Maybe I'll just yeet this out into the tags anyway, as a test run. If I'm not in the right places/there are better tags that I just don't know about, please let a sister know.

Having the demonlings is genuinely changing the way I look at things. We've been going out for more walks. Two nights ago, I showed them how to psspsspss the local cats. Last night, we got gelato. I'm teaching them the local landmarks. The parks and playgrounds where Abby sometimes takes them when I'm busy with physical human stuff.

It's not just walking for the sake of walking anymore. It's adventures and teaching. It's the bond between us that grows every time I feel one of the little ones hold my hand.

It's the same for domestic things around the house. I'm not just doing laundry, I'm showing them how I fold and organize my clothes. Cleaning? That's a lesson too, and an example. I do not let my space get dirty and stagnant. You shouldn't either, my lovelies.

Even with my arthritis and chronic fatigue, I will myself to do something every day. For them.

Went for a drive last night with the family to enjoy the blue moon. Strangely enough, B was the one most interested. I would have expected R, as he prefers nighttime over day. But B almost seemed to be energized, despite never seeming too drawn to the moon before.

Today was different. The weather here has been disgustingly hot and humid, so Abby and I taught the demonlings a new kind of lesson; the time-honored, large predator tradition of lazing around. It doesn't quite work for youngins with a lot of energy and a high heat tolerance. Still, it was nice to lounge in the air conditioning and rest while they played.
