Ah, those two. In a fight, they’re lethal. Around each other, they melt.

"It’s surprising that he had a lot of friends? Why would it be surprising..?" He asked, tilting his head in confusion. His eyes widened when she told him that she and him were best friends. "Whoa….and I forgot you….I’m probably the worst best friend in the history of best friends huh…?" 

"Um, no reason. No reason." She mumbled out not wanting to talk about it anymore. Laughing slightly she hook her head, placing her hand on his shoulder. "You are a good best friend. Even if you don't remember being one. You are great." 

"No..I didn't hate you. I mean I wasn't your biggest fan for a bit, but I never hated you." 

"Um...Okay. I don't care where you stare." 

Can I feel? 

She gulped as she turned to walk away but quickly turned around, sending a shot of electricty towards the guys feet and watched him fall to the ground

In any other case Ember probably would have thought it wasn't the best idea to randomly electrocute people -- but at the moment she was trying her hardest herself not to injure everybody who even attempts to show her pity. Even if she knows they aren't doing it to be mean. 

The ones who want the pity aren’t really grieving for him, they’re making a spectacle out of his death to get attention. As for the “I’m sorry’s”, just ignore it because no one really is, and I just think, it’s actually so funny they would say that to us, because they don’t know what he believed in or what he dreamed of, they’re gonna go home, put their black dresses at the back of the closet and forget what his first name was and the date of his birthday but we will remember, about everything. We’re trapped by all the memories, they’re the reason why we want him back, the reason why it hurts so damn much, and no one else has that, so no they’re not sorry. We are. We’re the only ones who can feel true grief. So I don’t want to be around when someone is fake crying for him, I don’t want anyone to come pat me on the back and say it will be fine, because it won’t, because he’s gone. And we can never forget what it was like when he was here. Because for people like you and me, it will never stop hurting. So you know, if you want to cry and scream and act like the world turns around you, go ahead, but don’t use my brother to do that.

Ember just stood there in silence listening to Sasha talk. Everything she was saying was true. Everybody was sad for the moment, sad somebody died. It was just somebody to some people though. Only a few could feel the pain they had felt. The pain they would feel every day for the rest of their lives. "Why is the world so fucked up?! Why does this shit happen?! Why him Sasha? Why can't we fix this? All these fucking powers in this school and nobody could keep him alive?! Nobody could fucking figure something out?!" She screamed, her hands shaking as she turned to the mirror next to her and punched it, shattering the glass. She ignored the blood that dripped down her hand as tears started to well up in her eyes. Ember knew that she could cry and not have pity, not have sorrys, just have somebody who knew that they were tears of grief and nothing more. Nothing fake. 

Say I’m sorry one more time… I dare you

"Come on Ana, lets just go." She placed her hand on the girls shoulder, urging her to follow out of the room. 

I don't want all the fucking pity. I don't want the I am so sorry's and the it will get better's. I want fucking Andrew back. 

When she let go, he put his hands into his pockets and began to whistle to fill the space. At the sound of her voice, he quickly stopped and listened. “Well…not exactly. When I heard he died, I…well I reacted and that’s gotta mean I knew him right? It means that we were friends…or something.” 

When he said he reacted she didn't really understood what he meant, but obviously it meant something. "Y-Yeah, you guys were friends. Surprisingly he was friends with a lot of people." She laughed a little thinking about how much everybody actually loved him, when at times he loved himself so little. "I was his girlfriend...Ember. I know you don't remember so I--I just wanted to remind you. Me and you were kinda best friends."
