Deciding when to go on my first trip back to the homeland this year. Craving the beach and mountains, Bahrain is too flat and cold!

So I think it's safe to say I've developed an obsession with East Africa since my first trip to Zanzibar in October. Aside from the fact that the island is breathtakingly beautiful beyond words, there is a rich and fascinating history between Zanzibar and Oman ( it was under Omani influence for 200 years, since the late 1600s, and Stone Town was our capital back in the day.) and since I'm all about discovering and learning more about my country's cultural heritage I can't believe it's taken me this long to plan a trip out there! It's only 5 hours from Muscat, that's paradise at my doorstep! Well, Eid Al Adha seemed the perfect time to book it and I spent the most glorious 5 days of the year in bliss with my homegirl Noura. SEA, SAND & SUNBURNZ. NAKUPENDA ZANZIBAR! CAN'T WAIT TO BE BACK NEXT YEAR! Take me back to paradise
