From EcoWatch. Top of the article.
Nice, the box stands out but doesnât overwhelm.
I like this unsubscribe screen from Ozy.

Nice mid article email capture by @thedailybeastpress-blog. Simple and presents options only after youâve indicated interest.
Donât know why Iâm so focused on them, but hereâs the desktop accompaniment to the mobile experience I posted last night. This happens when you click the email icon in the menu. Simple submission, Iâm not sure how much lift they get from the share option afterwards, but itâs nice that itâs not pixelated like the mobile version.Â
Looks like OZY is also engaging in some exit-intent marketing with this email form.
Found on a Bloomberg technology story in the second post of their infinite scroll. Nice positioning and coupling with their podcast offering. Bonus point for not forcing a page refresh and triple points for not resizing the element and forcing the page to change in the process.
Wow. I think I'm in love with Ozy's signup process. Click the icon in the header and you get the overlay. Submit and you get the second. I'm not so much in love with the pixelated image on the second overlay, but I can forgive it.

@apartmenttherapy is pretty aggressive with their email box. This was on the home page of the site and submission takes you away from the page. I usually don't show the rest of the page, but it took up about 1/3 of the browser window.
@lifehackerâs mobile signup adds an overlay confirmation page, but it doesnât keep your location on the page as I was hoping it would. Still, itâs a simple signup and thatâs to be commended. Also when the page reloads, the article text weirdly increases in size about 100%.
Looks like the folks at the The Wirecutter have carefully selected MailChimp based on the confirmation page that opens in a new window.
Straight forward email signup in @themorningnewsâ website footer. Fairly far down the page, but points awarded for double opt-in. Interesting to note that the name of the newsletter is TMN Newsletter, or else it would say âSubscribe to TMNâs Newsletter.â
Two from @politico. Nice and simple, both on the homepage. Nice description on the Friday Cover including frequency and when to expect the emails.

@fivethirtyeight with a clunky feeling signup. Click the link and it opens a new page. I'm no designer, but that subscribe button feels wrong in comparison to the rest of their branding.
Another NYTimes option, this time featuring some of their more popular newsletters. This was on a political opinion piece. Super annoying reCaptcha in full effect. I think I selected which photos had road signs on them.
