That rebellion never ended.

Anti-Dorne sentiment wasn't the main reason behind the Blackfyre Rebellion, as House Yronwood of Dorne repeatedly supported the rebellions. Discontent with the political situation pushed both Dornish and non-Dornish individuals to join the rebellions, resulting in secret Blackfyre supporters remaining within the Targaryen court long after Daemon's death. While the precise source of this resentment is still unclear, it doesn’t seem convincing to blame it all on anti-Dorne sentiment alone.

Daemon is not arrogant; an arrogant bastard wouldn't have as many friends and supporters as he does. However, his striking appearance and demeanor might lead newcomers to initially perceive him as arrogant. This perception, though, tends to change once they get to know him better.

That jealous drunkard grabbed Daemon by the clothes and splashed a glass of wine in his face

The theme explored here is that Daemon’s status as a bastard became a reason for those jealous of him to attack him.

Even when he felt indignation, he would maintain a polite smile.
