What is this zine?

This zine is a free, digital zine compiled of writing, comics, and art of “object heads” or characters with objects instead of traditional heads! The first theme is myths and legends!

What are the specs?

This zine will be 8.5x11, the size of printer paper! Illustrations should be 1-2 page(s), writing can have up to 3 pages, and comics can have up to 4 pages

Why are you running this zine?

To bring together creators who have a passion for object heads!

What does “myths and legends” entail?

Cryptids, gods, fantastical creatures, just about anything you’d hear about in a myth or as a legend!

When are pieces due?

December 15!

Artists need to have a minimum of 4-5 works in their portfolio.

Of these works, at least 1 piece must feature an Object Head.

Mods will be judging applications based on a variety of factors, including general anatomy and composition. We’re not looking for anything too fancy or specific; we will consider everything overall.

Welcome to the original magic zine! This zine will be an SFW zine focussing on your original characters from your own universe! Both artists and writers are welcome to apply!

The aim of this zine to to highlight a magical universe with the contributors’ characters, and to do so, each artist will have the chance to make three pieces! One of which will be a concept sketch of the artist’s OC and one other which will be a full illustration with backgrounds and shading! For writers, we have a similar concept! Writers will be able to create up to two pieces—one for world-building and one as a full written piece. The combined word count of the two pieces should not exceed 3,000 words!

The zine is for profit meaning that every contributor will receive a free physical copy! I will aim to pay for shipping as well, however, in case the sales don’t go as planned, I will have to ask contributors to pay for split shipping.

Currently, the zine is still looking for interest but applications are scheduled to open on July 10th!

hello hello!!! I’m just making this post sort of to gauge interest in a bnha OC zine. I wanna organize one but I’m not super sure how interested people are in buying/participating on one. Pretty please like/reblog/reply if you are !!

We will be accepting around 35 artists for the zine. As of now the zine will be in digital PDF form only, but we may be launching a Kickstarter campaign later on to try to get physical copies of the zine. More information about that will come later on.

The theme is witches and wizards and will be SFW and all original art! Original characters, scenes, items, etc. are all encouraged - the sky is the limit!

This is a charity zine, with all the proceeds going towards Pencils of Promise, a charity that builds schools in Ghana, Guatemala and Laos. More information about the charity can be found here: Pencils of Promise

This is a very important announcement from the Mods at Saeran Zine. Please do not ignore -

In the past few days, people in the Saeran Zine community have been receiving messages in their Tumblr chat with images that are highly offensive and triggering. They come from random accounts which we believe to belong to one person.

A few of our contributors received those and have tried blocking this person, but they came back with different accounts to send the same or similar things. Even the blog itself has received threats from this person stating that it will continue to target everyone involved in the Saeran Zine, even going as far as targeting supporters. They have in fact contacted a supporter this morning. 

Since it started with one of our contributors, we have warned all of them about this incident, telling them to not click on the blurred images from accounts they do not know.

Now we extend this warning to all of you.

We urge you all that if you’re getting DMs with images from an account you do not know do not click on them. Again we reiterate - they are highly offensive and triggering. Our advice, If you happen to get any such messages, is to not engage in contact with them. Below is a list of recent names they have gone by -

An important note that this list is not exhaustive. This person may create multiple new accounts with which to contact you. 

If you receive any messages from such accounts, we recommend the following:  1) Ignore and Report 2) Block and Disable all DMs from Tumblrs you do not follow. [desktop] You can do this by going into Edit Appearance and toggling ON ‘Only allow messages from Tumblrs you follow’, or [mobile] going on general settings → messaging → toggling to ‘Only Tumblrs you follow can message’. 3) Disable anon asks. [desktop] Do this by going into Edit Appearance and toggling OFF ‘Allow anonymous questions’. 4) Disable submissions. [desktop] Do this by going into Edit Appearance and toggling OFF ‘Let people submit posts’, or [mobile] hitting the settings icon and toggling OFF ‘Allow submissions’.

Finally we want to say that we are truly sorry we have make this PSA; we wanted everyone to know and to take special care. We wish for everyone to stay safe. you will eventually hit a point where you start to feel icky inside if you go too long without eating some sort of vegetables

depending on your current level of athleticism/physical activity as well as the kind of activities you did as a kid/teenager, your joints may start acting whack in your twenties, despite what everyone says about that not happening until middle age

eventually you will reach a point where you wonder how you were able to stay up until 3am nearly every night and be perfectly fine the next day (and this moment will come much younger than you expect)

it is much harder to meet new people after you’re done with school than sitcoms would have you believe
