before i do: this is post is not meant to harass or ‘bully’ anyone. it is meant to explain a situation and bring it to others’ attentions so that they may be safe. don’t send hate about this, it’s not going to help and it’s simply going to spur people to spread further misinfo to vulnerable people.

the reynaruina situation is not being brought up due to her or anyone else drawing short characters. that has never been the purpose of the argument. the reason it has been brought up that reyna is likely a bad person is due to the public link of her nsfw twitter and the content on it.

this nsfw twitter account has the warning to posting shota. i know not everyone is familiar with the term, and i… don’t blame you. shotacon simply means to be attracted to young boys, with shota usually refers to depictions of young boys in a sexual manner. this content is quite literally pedophilia.

‘but people should be allowed to draw what they want! she’s probably coping’ i don’t like this argument because, to be frank, if she’s going to draw this stuff to cope, she needs to delete it or keep it privated and never post it online. posting things online is literally designed to get attention, to get approval, which - if this is genuinely how she thinks she copes - is going to make people think it’s okay to sexualize this stuff. it’s harmful for victims, both those using it to cope or not, because it’s keeping it constantly on the mind, and then sexualizing it further.
