Fire - Se (ESTP, ISTP, ESFP, ISFP)

Fire can do good, like cooking food to eat and keeping us warm or it can do great harm, like burning a house down. Fire is a combustible, unpredictable element, a chemical reaction that can go off easily and quickly go from a small flame to a raging fire. Fire ignite’s easily, and they are very temperamental, however if managed properly, they can be very beneficial. Se types can be emotionally volatile yet they are very passionate. Fire can change it’s course at an instant, and fire types, like the fire spreading, are the first to set out into the unknown and take initiative with adventurous enthusiasm. Fire is not a physical thing, it is quite mystical and Se types apprehend the world through their intuition, they trust their gut instinct (or they should anyway) because it rarely ever leads them wrong. Se types have a strong sense of self just like fire which has no regard over anything in it’s path, Se types are quite self centered but they are moving so fast that they never get stuck on themselves, the fire needs to spread and explore. Se types are impulsive and just like fire spreading, often leap before they look. 

Earth - Si (ESTJ, ISTJ, ESFJ, ISFJ)

Earth is real, you can see it, hold it, smell it. Suitably so, Si types are very “down to earth” and real. Earth is the foundation on which everything is built. Si types are solid and stable and composed of many different parts, they are multi faceted people, like the many mineral compounds that make the earth. There is nothing wishy-washy about these people, they do not have their head in the clouds, They are dependable, you know they will always be there and they are stable. Most of the time anyway, more stable then the other elements. Earth does not change. It stays there and allows whatever is growing to continue to grow and progress. Si types are not fond of change, they like stability and regular life that can grow upon and develop. Why start something new if what is already there is fine? Si types are also concerned with what’s on the surface and never really dig deep to get to the bottom of it, they are happy with what’s on the surface.

Water - Ni (ENFJ, INFJ, ENTJ, INTJ)

Water can be refreshing, like a cool stream or it can be dark and mysterious like the depths of the ocean. Water that is contained is easy to deal with, like swimming pool, water that is un-contained and out of control can do great damage, like a flood. Water is complex and a paradox it is everywhere and can be almost anything. Ni types are the very intuitive; they flow down deep and search out crevasses and cracks to explore, symbolic of the unknown emotions of the human psyche. Water is found in everything everywhere, and as such Ni types have a knack for dealing with others, they can see into other people, they understand the motives and needs of other people and to sum it all up, they are borderline psychic and the most in-tune with others. This makes them empathetic, caring and helpful but they are over sensitive and can be easily hurt by others who do not acknowledge the sacrifices that have been made and how deeply involved they really are.

Air - Ne (ENTP, INTP, ENFP, INFP)

Te: It’s not always important to understand all the intricate details of a situation in order to gain a sense of logic or rationality. It’s more important to take action than to spend too much time asking questions. Logic is a fairly universally defined concept; you can see if a plan is efficient, a system works, data/facts support a statement, etc. The outcome is the most important concept of logic, and it is an objective measurement. 

Fi: However, it is important to recognize the subjectivity involved in morality. In fact, morality is a made-up concept created by humans and morals are inherently illogical. The most important part of moral values is the process of personal experience and questioning that goes along with it. We can’t just accept moral laws without personally questioning them and putting them into context of our own lives and beliefs. 

OR

Ti: The most important part of logic is the internal process of reasoning for each individual. Exercising our intellect, questioning the rationality of a process, and being able to understand why we think certain things are logical or not is extremely important. We can’t just accept logic for how it appears on the surface, we have to personally understand why something makes sense. Everyone’s internal process of arriving at an answer is different. 

Like Ne is usually described as being pretty hyperbolic in it’s perception of the world, and yeah, as an ENTP i do tend to speak in hyperbole, but you know who’s /really/ good at speaking in hyperbole and diving into all that ridiculous, surface level Ne crap? ESxJs. Hell, they’re better at it than i am. (And don’t even get me started about IxFJs and Ti…..like, if u need an example of Ti and cynicism just read how a melancholic ((not in the temperament sense)) IxFJ writes –and tbh just look at one of those negative suggestion blogs i’m like 500% sure they’re all INFJs)

I mean, there’s that post floating around that summarizes how Si dominant types are really forgetful…..(and part of me feels that has to do with subjectivity and the fact  that since a lot of their tangible experiences are so closely linked to their sort of identity, the brief ones are basically just disposable) and people came to a general consensus that ‘’Yeah, Si in it’s finest does not equal a good memory” (Jeez i should find the post) HERE! (it’s p good it’by @littlemissintp) 

Anyway I was just thinking about how Fe is prided as being the ‘’communication function’’ and as an ExTP, I do find that Fe does play a big role in how i go about getting what i want, but once again, it’s in a very simple sense. I can do the ‘’i’m listening” face on command, shift my voice around a little and work the situation to my advantage, and you would think, having that as a dominant function would make you this charismatic, manipulative Casanova type…..but i find that very rarely that’s the case.

Every ExFJ i’ve met (which is only like 4 so maybe i should keep my mouth shut) has been absolutely /shit/ when it comes to communicating what they’re /actually/ feeling. Like, the ones i knew were /so/ fucking bad at it, that they’d wind up in really complicated situations just because they /nodded ‘yes’ at the wrong time/. Yeah. (And I am still fucking astounded that something like that could happen, but i suppose when you’re so conflict averse that your ‘’roundabout’’ ways of approaching every situation actually get you into /more/ trouble…..It makes sense)

Like their Fe focuses so much on the external situation, that they forget that they’re not obligated to be the one to stabilize it. (And that probably has to do with some sort of extroverted looping situation so i suppose it might not apply to /all/ Fe-doms) But you get me……

I mean, that was just an example, I’d like to ramble on about more types, but I don’t particularly wanna put it under a readmore (don’t get me started on how arbitrary ENxPs can be) (Or INxJs and ‘’truth’’ LOL)

Infj: pronounces the word “consciousness” wrong in an existential conversation they’re trying to hold, and even though no one notices they become hyper focused on it, convinced everyone thinks they’re an idiot and their whole life is a sham. goes home earlier than everyone else, builds a nest of blankets and paranoia.

Enfj: won’t shut up beforehand about how much they want to get stoned, barely smokes when it actually comes to the consumption of the weed because they get nervous and likes the idea of being high more than actually being high.

Enfp: i mean any enfp that smokes weed at all is basically always high so like. If you’ve ever met an enfp that’s what meeting a high enfp is like.

Infp: elects themselves DJ, but no one else objects because infps have good taste in music for getting stoned to.

Entp: time to make their friends listen 2 some talk radio about cryptids.  and those uncultured fucks better like it.

Intp: probably arguing about memes. no one feels as passionately about memes as a high intp.

Istj: rewatches episodes of their favorite tv show, reacts with as much emotion as if they were seeing it for the first time.

Estj: speaks almost entirely in quotes from movies. the timing is impeccable. everyone thinks it’s hilarious.

Esfj: becomes emotional about how soft their friends’ hair is. braids it. braids all of the hair available.  

Isfj: tells silly stories about stuff they’ve done, and can barely finish any of the stories because they have to stop periodically to have snorting fits of laughter at their own silly story.

Isfp: finds the weirdest youtube videos conceivable and forces them upon everyone else in the room. xsfps have like, a goddamn “finding weird youtube videos” sixth sense, i swear.

Esfp: using their Super Extrovert Powers to troll all the other stoned people. Asking everyone preposterous hypothetical questions. Trying to convince people that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is their dad.

Istp: does so many dabs that everyone else wonders how they are even still alive. Slouches against something and smirks.

Estp: The Weed Wizard. showing everybody some complex vaporizer that looks like a candy cane or like, offering everyone drops of their new and improved green dragon recipe.

Intj: observes conversations, nodding sagely, interjects occasionally with some super funny or astute deadpan one liner.
