What the Ka'ba may be we know not, Dard. Where that eyebrow bends, there we pray.

Your splendor hides: yet it blazes forth... Your heaven is far: yet all we can know of you is here

Your radiance shines in every atom of creation, yet our petty desires keep it hidden.

The desires of this world are like sea water. The more you drink of them, the more you thirst

You have to keep breaking your heart until it opens.

Love is our steady guide on this road full of hardships

With life a short as a half taken breath, don't plant anything but love.

His perfections - O Dard - are showered... On all. It takes you to detect a fault

Let the alchemist boast of his art... Better the chemistry that will soften a heart

Appear as you are. Be as you appear.

Be sure that someday you'll praise and thank God for your unanswered prayers that once you had wept for them.

The hero is he who smashes idols, and the idol of every man is his ego.

Abundance can be had simply by knowingly receiving what has already been given.

Oh tongue; you are an infinite fortune. Oh tongue; you are also an infinite ailment.

Grasp the moment; you can’t power a mill with water that has already passed by.

Take every effort to guard your tongue as it is the strongest cause for your destruction in this life and the next.
