Elysium is a small, newly reopened multi-world Java server looking for other 18+ players to join our community! We previously opened in 2022 as a public server before closing at the very beginning of 2024, and just reopened at the beginning of November. We have a very small handful of existing community members who are 16+ that have stuck with us since the first server, but we’re looking for future players to be 18+. We are LGBTQ+ run and friendly!
We have three main worlds:
Survival: A 1.21.10 survival world with a 10k x 10k world border and mcMMO skills, with an online map that can be accessed using /map link ingame. Teleportation commands are disabled here (with the exception of /home bed) to achieve a more vanilla feel, utilizing a Nether roof travel system instead. We also have a shopping district located within the spawn region where players can create chest shops, using diamonds as currency.
Plots: 85 x 85 plots to give creative users their own private spaces to build without fear of other players’ intervention. Players start with one plot and can earn more by advancing through our build ranks.
Creative: A superflat freebuild world to allow community builds, and to give bigger space for higher build ranks. While we encourage players to come together to consensually contribute to builds together, griefing or changing other players’ builds without permission isn’t allowed.
Alongside those three worlds, we also have a main Hub world, used for travel between worlds, and a second Creative world. The Hub can be accessed with /spawn or /hub and includes a few hangout spots for chilling with friends, as well as an amphitheater used for community gatherings and events. Our Creative2 world is a perk of our build ranks, allowing builders to have a more exclusive superflat space to showcase their skills.
Our main plugins:
DiscordSRV — Discord linking, allowing automatic Minecraft-to-Discord nickname changes and communication between Discord and Minecraft chats through our server-chat channel.
DeathCoords — Death coordinates display in chat on death to help you return to your previous location and retrieve your items.
HeadDB — A head library with thousands of decorative heads to use in your builds in the Creative worlds.
Squaremap — An online map of our Survival overworld, with real-time player location & build updates and banner icons to mark player bases.
Simple Voice Chat — Support for the Simple Voice Chat mod, allowing proximity chat and voice groups for an added level of communication ingame.
ArmorStandTools — A useful tool in the Creative worlds for creating, positioning, and configuring armor stands.
ViaVersion & ViaBackwards — Support for joining on almost any Minecraft version, from 1.10 to 1.21.10
You can find a full list of our rules and server IP, as well as apply for the whitelist, on our Discord server. Our whitelisting process is simple and applications should take no more than 24 hours to be accepted, we just ask that you put a bit of effort into answering the questions.

Our Elysians are so excited to finally be able to stop habitually jumping off ledges forgetting we don't have the ability to glide (LOL).

We have an SMP which functions a lot like Hermitcraft. We have a diamond-based shopping district, big bases, proximity chat, and a tiny (but slowly growing!) community of friendly people to interact with!

I’ve found while playing Minecraft that there are two types of people; ones that walk past copper ore as if it were a regular stone block, and others that horde it to use it. I’m sure that the copper update changed this for some people, but I’m curious.
When you see copper ore, what do you do?
Mine it! I horde copper so I can use it.
I don’t mine it.
Used to mine it, but usually I have too much and don’t use it.
The Shopping District is really coming together! It’s so awesome to see the builds players will come up with for their shops. I really love the simple, cuter ones, like the bee! I’ve already spent plenty of diamonds here.
ELYSIUM BUILDS 5/? - SURVIVAL PORTAL by peyleontologist & TRADING HALL by peyleontologist and kellbee
Our survival world's builds are a lot smaller since the point of our survival spawn is to have a Hermitcraft-esque shopping district where everyone adds their own builds to it, but of course, we still have some prebuilt structures, like the portal our nether hub and our villager trading hall!

ELYSIUM BUILDS 4/? - CREATIVE2 SPAWN by peyleontologist
No one on our server has actually seen this build yet but two of us admins (the builder and I), but it's definitely my favorite and will be a favorite of many people once they can see it! It's the spawn for our second creative world, which you unlock access to when you reach one our higher build ranks (I can make a post about our build rank system if anyone is curious).
This build is simple. A massive black hole swallowing a star. Still, it's so very impressive.

On Elysium, we have a creative freebuild world separate from the plots world so you can build without restrictions, and I think the spawn captures the spirit of it quite well. My favorite part of this one is the galaxy the giant structure sits on. The planets are also really cool! This one is a favorite of many of our members, and I really can see why!

ELYSIUM BUILDS 2/? - PLOTS SPAWN by peyleontologist
The plots spawn is one of my personal favorite builds on our server. Since the server is a 2.0 version of our previous server, this build is based on our Hall of Fame plot, which was a pristine, small museum build. Here, we see a version of that same museum, but much bigger, ruined, and way overgrown. I wonder what happened to make it that way?
That aside, my favorite thing about this plot is the plant life. My friend Peyton (peyleontologist) did such an amazing job with all of the lush details. I was seriously so impressed by the finished product!

ELYSIUM BUILDS 1/? - THE HUB by peyleontologist and Litl0t
The Hub is the first build anyone sees when they join Elysium, but often, people move on from it to join one of the other worlds, which is understandable, but still, it's a shame this build is overlooked. If people looked around, they'd find a beautiful Greek amphitheater for community events, temples to various Greek gods, and lots of hang out spots to stop and chat with friends.
