Other Villain woke up alone.
The sheets had already gone cold, and the food Hero had brought them was miserably stale. They rubbed their head, still ringing with a slight headache, and buried their face into their hands.
What the fuck were they doing?
Supervillain was out there, aware of their plans, threatening them into doing as they say, and they were here. Cuddling up beside not only Hero, but Villain too.
Their ears burned red at the memory of how it felt, wrapped up in both their arms, pressed flush against them on both sides, safe and secure. Their quiet, deep voices by their ears, mumbling to them...
Fuck. Fuck. Other Villain slipped out of bed, the hard wooden floor cold beneath their feet. Someone had taken the liberty to change them out of their other clothes, no doubt due to the dirt and blood that had been on them.
They picked up the glass of sparkling water, now flat, and tossed down the two pills on the tray. It went down smoothly, and Other Villain quickly tipped the rest of the beverage down their throat, emptying it completely. They needed to clear their head. Take a walk. Do anything to stop them from thinking about those two.
Other Villain took a trip out of the bedroom, finding the stairs, and journeying down them. The house was huge, no doubt Villain’s, judging by the flashy extravagance of it all.
Hero was far too humble to live in a place like this.
The criminal tossed a glance around the huge living space, and immediately zoomed onto Villain, hovering over something on a stove. A sweet aroma wafted through the air, the smell of vegetables and chicken, and Other Villain keenly followed their nose.
“Good afternoon, sugarplum,” Villain grinned, shooting the Other Villain a smug grin. “Enjoy your sleep?”
They anxiously shuffled closer to the criminal, and peered at what they were cooking.
Villain twisted a knob and the blue flames dimmed down, leaving the food to simmer on a low heat. They swept backwards and gathered a few plates, clattering lightly on the kitchen counter as they layed them out.
“Are you hungry yet? Hero wasn’t very pleased when you refused to eat. You know what they get like when they nag.”
Other Villain felt a strange sensation crawl up their spine. This here was a criminal, a very powerful one at that, almost at Supervillain’s level. Yet here they were, cooking for them, like some kind of lover.
The thought made their cheeks go red, and Villain noticed almost instantly. “Are you thinking of something naughty?”
Other Villain bristled and tried steadying their heartbeat. “Not at all!”
Villain’s eyes lowered down, and like burning hot pokers, they trailed all across Other Villain’s body, making them squirm under the heat. Villain’s lip quirked into a smirk, humming dangerously under their breath. “I definitely am. You look very cute in my clothes.”
Other Villain stiffened. That little—
“I told you not to say stupid things,” they mumbled shyly under their breath, brows pinched in annoyance. Villain’s chest rumbled with a deep chuckle, and they turned back towards the feast they were preparing.
“Would you like to answer my question now, darling? The food will be dished up soon.”
Other Villain swallowed and took another look at the pot. They remembered the strong smell of chicken, radiating from the oven beneath them, and Other Villain deduced that perhaps they were cooking a Sunday Roast.
Too bad. It smelled really good.
“I’m vegan,” Other Villain spoke, tugging lightly on the cuffs of their—or rather—Villain’s shirt. “I can’t eat that.”
The criminal in question eyed them out of the corner of their eye incredulously, brow cocking. “Surprising. By the looks of it, it seems you could take meat rather well.”
Other Villain met their smug face, and their whole body flushed red. They placed a hand to their burning forehead and made a grumbled noise of complaint, earning an amused chortle from Villain.
“Oh, come on. Don’t give me that look. Are you telling me you’re inexperienced then?”
Other Villain burst with embarrassment. “That is not what I’m saying. I’m not saying anything. You haven’t changed one bit, you know that?”
Villain shot them a sly smirk. “Nor you. You’re just as easy to wind up.”
Other Villain went to walk away, but something hard clasped around their wrist and they were pulled back, bumping into Villain’s defined body.
“You know,” the criminal drawled, slowly edging their fingers under the cuffs of their shirt. “Hero won’t be back just yet. Why don’t me and you have a little fun?”
The criminal felt their mouth run dry, and they stared at the Villain with wide eyes. “I-I don’t want to have sex!” They blurted, averting their gaze quickly not a moment after. “Not yet, anyway.”
“No,” Villain chuckled deeply, sliding a hand around the back of their neck and tugging them closer, making their skin burn under their touch. “But a taste won’t hurt, right?”
Their heart was beating like crazy. Could Villain hear it? Feel it? It wouldn’t suprise them, judging by how close they had gotten, or how Villain had expertly pressed them against their counter with their hips. They felt like they could feel their breath with every exhale, making them catch it in their throat.
When Other Villain failed to reply, Villain dropped their eyes to their lips, finger tracing the shell of their ear. “Your choice, buttercup. Stop me if you want to.”
Did they want to stop them? It reminded them of Hero, kissing them the day they had confronted each other after a while, how a passionate spark exploded between them. There had to be rules, to a relationship like this, surely. Other Villain had kissed Hero. Were they allowed to do the same with Villain? Without Hero knowing?
Their thoughts were abruptly knocked to the back of their mind when Villain connected their lips, and Other Villain saw stars. They hummed softly under their breath and gripped onto Villain’s shirt with a firm grasp, fighting to move their lips in sync with Villain’s.
Their heart leapt and their body burned, and—heavens—Villain was a damn good kisser. Other Villain opened their mouth further to allow Villain to deepen the kiss, running their hands keenly through their hair and tugging on their clothes.
It was a desperate kiss. One Other Villain didn’t think they’d needed, but now refused to let go.
Villain watched through half lidded eyes, smirking against Other Villain’s lips. They slid their hands across their waist and lifted them effortlessly atop the counter, breaking the kiss apart.
“God, Other Villain. You really test my restraint, you know that?”
The other villain was too dazed to reply, and with flushed cheeks, they lazily pulled them between their legs and continued to kiss the hell out of them.
By the time Hero arrived, the food had almost boiled over and Other Villain was thoroughly spent, sat delirious on the counter and wetting their swollen lips. The hero watched the two with pink cheeks, their stomach fluttering with butterflies.
“I love you guys,” they smiled dreamily, and that made Other Villain smile weakly, fighting the sound of their raging heart. They had wanted to clear their head of them, but now it seemed they’d flooded their mind completely.
