Instead of shooting soap with a gun he had taken some kind of vial. It transformed him into a monster. Not a hybrid. A full blown monster. He was able to shoot sharp and deadly spikes at the pair. Some kind of poison on them left soap weakened and unable to transform.

A spike was headed straight for his head. But ember took it instead. The poison should have kicked in already. She had already been grazed once.

But wait…. The wound was gone.

In that moment she proceeded to transform into her manticore body and take on makarov. She had fully intended to kill him. She had him where she wanted and was playing with her food basically.

Until the rational part of her brain remembered that she needed an antidote for soap.

So she made a deal to let him go in exchange for the antidote.

Which she managed to get soap to drink before he passed out.

But her nerves were on fire, the adrenaline still peaking. She couldnt transform back to do first aid. The best she could do was sit with him while they waited for the rest of the team to come.

Which was how they found the pair. Ember in her manticore form curled around soap. When she saw them she got up and started pacing back and forth as they worked. It wasnt until price came over and began soothing her did she managed to turn back into her mostly human form.

With her adrenaline spiking so much and her mind stressed out she couldnt hide all of her features that made her obviously not human. Such as the tail, the wings, and her claws.

Price kept petting her for a moment after she turned back even briefly earning a purr before they had to move out.

Back at base there was a team meeting (minus soap who was in recovery) shortly after arriving. Where ember had to explain why she hid what she was. She would explain it to soap as well once she woke up.

But it was after this that they noticed a change in her behavior. She finally let soap scent her without complaint (He swore he could feel her purring but she denied it), she accepted one of price’s trinkets, she let gaz build her a nest, and last but not least ghost.

A manticore shifter/hybrid. Pretending to be completely human. Acting as a medic for team 141.

(Its also kind of an oc for a poly team 141 fic called a hybrid’s emotions. Dont judge, its taking forever for em to update (cause they are rewriting it) and i started day dreaming which lead to this)

This manticore shifter kind of ignores/stays away from the team quite abit to avoid being caught as a manticore. This is because manticores are typically a kill on sight creature.

The team is all really into her. She is strong, level headed, and doesn’t really take any bullshit. She however tends to ignore their advances. She doesn’t want to get close and reveal she is a manticore.

In this fic/au/oc universe manticores are solitary and do NOT take kindly to being ordered around. This is evident in Ember’s tendency to nearly bite off people’s heads when they order her around. She listens to very few people and was infact assigned to Price’s team as a way of disciplining her.

Her thing is she refuses to listen to anyone weaker/lesser than her. She joined at the same time as price lost his wing and ghost got ghosted. She saw their strength and figured she could trust them to lead her properly.

This was also where she got her code name ember.

Typically she is a medic. She avoids fighting. Not because she cant fight or because of some pacifist reason. She has a hard time holding back and controlling her strength.

She helped patch price up on the scene and haul him back. Meaning she had to go in and retrieve him. Price had temporarily passed out as a result of losing so much blood. Ghost was incoherent and chasing the man who buried him alive after tearing through a good chunk of the people there.

Meaning ember was unsupervised and surrounded with a a downed teammate. So she let loose. When price came to she had burnt the place down to embers and was in the process of crushing a man’s skull. This was how she earned her callsign.

Gods i cant help but imagine the cuddle sessions the group would have. Especially post sparring session. Like worn out dog tired. Literally collapsing on top of each other.

Like this big of pile of tough dudes being soft with each other.

Idk what his fave would be. I look at him and i think ursa major or charizard. Not that those are his faves but those are what i think of when looking at him.

Honestly now that i think about it i think he wouldnt know that many pokemon and would default to pikachu.

For harpies, dragons, and werewolves nesting is a BIG thing. So is gift giving. So a common courtship ritual is giving someone a piece of clothing or a blanket for while they nest. Which is typically done during ruts, heats, or child raising.

But pixies nest year round regardless.

So once pixie (temp name while i figure one out) is out and open about what she is…. Well her nesting instincts go in full force. She is stealing and swiping stuff to add to her nest.

They cant figure out where their stuff is going at first.

That is until one of them looks in the bathroom sink cabinet. They find her stash of stuff and instantly recognize it as a nest.

After that they leave stuff out for her to steal for her nest. Recognizing that the pixie instincts is to steal the nest material.

Cause i am a goddamn sucker for size differences. Whether it be fluffy or sexy.

I just cant help but imagine the team trying to figure out a good bed for a unconscious person the size of a barbie doll. then maybe gaz and ghost come up with the idea of using gaz’s hat as a bedframe of sorts. With ghost’s spare mask being a mattress.

So my character hides what she is via using a magical artifact that makes her alot bigger. Aka human sized. She is a college student studying cultural anthropology with a focus on learning about ancient societies by studying current ones and seeing how they evolved.

So what this means is she has also learned alot of diff languages.

So how did she meet t141?

She got kidnapped by a criminal empire group that steal alot of artifacts and art pieces. They needed someone to translate an ancient map for clues to a treasure.

She got rescued by t141 cause they had been hunting them. So she helps them find the group cause she knew where they were headed.

She ends up graduating and needs a job. By chance she runs into soap (a few years have passed now) and they get along.

I could see him overworking himself to the point of blurring words together and even getting people mixed up. He knows he should stop and pick up again in the morning but…. Its already morning when he looks out the window.
