Okay okay okay I give so what I actually was doing when the Lux comic went down today for 'maintenance' was... updating Every single page to have the Doctor's new design! I had a vision of what he was really meant to look like, and I just couldn't let it stay the way it was- so I have been working every single day to replace, update and generally improve the Doc's face throughout this entire comic for months and now it's all finished! I updated every page so that it's a clean complete 4 dimensional sweep! I'm exhausted. And very happy.

FastForward/Buried Alien for Eternals sequel when!

Barry Allen the Flash was transported into the Marvel universe after his sacrifice.

Marvel introduced a character called Fast Forward. He was wearing golden boots and ripped red tights and he can’t recall who he was before… All he remembers is that his name resembled ‘Buried Alien’.

I can finally show the full scale version of this really fun painting I did for Auteur! All the moody lighting and glowy bits were a delight to work on, and of course his Evil Skull Face (tm) hehehe. If you like a melodramatic villain who rewrites reality around himself and ignores fourth walls when it suits him, this anthology is a delight!

The show is not cancelled. Though I don't believe the word has been used, it's probably best described as a hiatus. They're actively looking for a new production partner. Doctor Who TV show is not dead. Seriously. Chill.

The spinoff is still coming, as is more TV who, we just don't know what that future will look like yet. Doesn't mean it won't exist.

RTD is gone. Bad Wolf is gone. Mourn or celebrate as you will but please let's stop acting like they're the only things involved in making doctor who (TV)

Doctor Who is not dead! Even if the show was cancelled and the spinoff and the BBC was dropping the IP, doctor who is made of fans and individual creatives and small press and big finish and authors and fanfic writers and artists and gif makers. Fan and spin-off/EU. We're all still here. We are what keeps Doctor Who alive. We brought it back last time; if it came down to it, we'd do it again. We would survive the next wilderness, and we'd do it together. That's the only way we would survive.

This is not wilderness 2. Or 3, if you count movie+ as 2. There is no current Doctor, the show is not cancelled, the Beebs stated explicitly that they're holding on to all licensing. That doesn't mean the extended universe isn't in a particularly creative stretch, though! Go explore the worlds of Arcbeatle Press, Obverse, The Cheshire House, Cutaway - us indie people are out here trying to make great stories with some familiar concepts. We're right here. You don't have to wait for us to spring up; we're waiting for you.

Let's try to not spread misinformation. Doctor who dead memes are funny and all but we gotta remember that, when we put the jokes aside, the show is taking a nap. Hardly the first time. And, most important of all, Doctor Who is very much awake and alive.

But by the show taking a rest for a few years, I'm excited to see whatever comes out as a result - What books will fill the gaps, what audio dramas will come out, what fan projects are going to turn up and keep the story alive (Wilderness 2 is overdone, what about Devious 2). Hell, with Bad Wolf and RTD gone, it's exciting to know someone new will take the wheel and will bring a new perspective on the show. Whatever comes next will be brand new and that's so exciting!
