NJ has a point, it would be better to make it from scratch, to show cabbage her skills in cooking. but that's the thing. her 'skills in cooking'. her lack of. what if the sinner messed up?? cabbage was already a rather sickly dog who needed specific medicines to take care of him; honestly, L.L. would rather a professional make it before she herself attempted to. ❝ i have absolutely no skill in cooking at all … and it wouldn't hurt to be safe?? like, what if i mess up?? ❞

the 'he' in question is the small dog carefully cradled in Artoria's arms. while most of him couldn't be seen, hidden beneath her cloak, a small head peeks out at the collar between the fur, a rather proud look on his face as his tail wags happily. the king had spent the last fifteen to twenty minutes searching the busy park for his owner, wondering if maybe he got lost further away. but then she heard frantic calling and seeing how the dog's ears perked up, knew to follow the voice.

" He was enjoying himself to a few leftover pretzels I had on me. Quite the bold dog you have." a soft chuckle follows as Artoria hands the dog over to the woman.

cabbage is missing!! cabbage is missing, and L.L. has no clue how he was able to slip out of his leash!! how?? the sinner had only looked away for just one second, to look at some bright lights, she hadn't even feel a tug or pull on the leash before she looked down, no dog in sight. how?? did he somehow master the act of slipping out of his leash?? did he loosen it?? who taught this dog how to be an escape artist!? worried was the sinner who called out his name, bubble—gum eyes trying to search for the white pup when someone called out to her alongside that familiar bark. ❝ cabbage!! ❞

immediately, once he was in her grasps, L.L. pressed her face against the top of his head, allowing the pup to smother her chin in kisses. this little one would be the death of her, one day. ❝ you little, how did you even slip out of your leash?? ❞ turning her gaze to cabbage's savior, the sinner spoke her thanks. ❝ i-i'm sorry for the pretzels, he's a little greedy. i can reimburse you?? but thank you again for finding him!! ❞

It was cute, though, that's for sure. Eddie scratched the back of his head, smiling awkwardly. There were plenty of odd pets one could keep in a place like Spirale, not all of them were cute. The symbiote curiously peers through its own eyes, two stylized milky-white crescents forming at Eddie's sleeve. "Don't worry about it, really, I get it. I suppose you two are on a walk together?"

come on, MANTY, can't you hear the sincerity in the man's voice?? can't you forgive him for making such a small mistake?? lore—ley gave her friend a little shake, an attempt to make it feel something towards the man but after feeling the sting of huffing annoyance, the blue—haired girl knew to give up. she just hopped MANTY wouldn't do anything else rash. ❝ it … is indifferent. still a little angry but i'm sure it won't do anything. ❞

❝ kind of?? honestly, it's just manty dragging me around like it normally does. ❞ which is adorable but sometimes, it was hard to keep pace with the floating manta—ray. at the offer of pets, lore—ley watched as, the water construct who shared quite a few traits with her, such as being touch-starved, contemplated the ask of being petted. on one fin, MANTY was still angry due to being mistaken as a dog. on the other. pets.

after some thought, MANTY would wave a fin towards the man, a pet on the fin was acceptable. ❝ looks like you're all good!! just, be careful?? it might feel weird but it is made of water and kind of feels like touching jelly?? ❞

🩷 "Hii~! Have I done something to attract the attention of such a pretty girl?" Being back in the city was more or less a nothingburger for Elysia. What else did she have to do? Go back to being deleted? That was boring! To be fair, she had been practically dancing around a water fountain as snow gently fell. Plenty of people had watched her.

They'd probably thought she was acting strangely. Elysia didn't really care about that.

pretty. what was with people in this world and throwing out compliments without a care in the world?? without wanting something either?? was it a normal the sinner didn't understand?? a social norm?? in any case … this woman ⁽ entirely a brilliant pink ⁾ was the embodiment of pretty that L.L. couldn't keep her eyes off her. normally, L.L. was a bit more careful with her staring, but her interest had been piqued; how carefree the other woman was.

unfortunately, it looks like her staring had been caught, seeing as how the other moved towards her with an offered hand. ❝ ah … s—sorry, i don't really know how to dance. ❞ it was true!! like a pirate who had sea—legs, L.L., while better outside the bathtub, didn't really have the leg stability to do anything other than walk/run outside of water.

And with L.L.'s words, Nier suddenly feels at ease. "I feel like... You really understand what I mean," she says, smiling. "Most people don't, and explaining it... Well, I don't know if it would really work. I've been told that some of the things I do are wrong, but... Is it really so bad to just want a place to belong?"

She gives a quiet sigh before looking back out over the city. "I don't love this city, but... It was kind of a relief knowing that you can start over, if you want. If you want to keep something secret, you just don't need to tell anyone about it..."

It feels like she might be revealing too much, but it's kind of exciting to even hint at it. Nier's made friends and allies in this city, but she hasn't told a single person the things she's done. She's afraid; would they look at her differently? Would they throw her away? Would they hate her? She doesn't want to chance it, so she just... doesn't.

ah. those type of people. it seemed as though nier was being greeted by specific people, those who wanted things on that area. thankfully, L.L. had yet to meet those people, even in her elysiland, which was surprising. a world where whatever you wished for could be granted. the fact that her guests didn't ask for that really did surprise the sinner. didn't people want things they didn't have?? did her former guests really have fulfilling lives outside of the web??

❝ i hope you weren't alone when you met those people. i've read that it's a terrifying experience for young woman. ❞ not that L.L. would know about it. she was a lucky one; outside experiences with other humans weren't things she had experienced before. ❝ of course it's not wrong!! wanting a place to belong … wanting people who treated you well, who saw you for you and not for what you could do … any normal person would want that. ❞

now that the sinner thought about it … nier was right. nobody knew her here. and, from what she gathered, nobody from her world was here either. nobody knew her, didn't know her status as an s rank sinner, didn't that she was the mastermind of elysiland ⁽ except for furina but all L.L. did was introduce herself as the owner ⁾ , didn't know of her full capabilities of world creating using the internet and even bringing people into her world ⁽ even if she was severely power—downed ⁾. ❝ nobody knows, huh … it's a little strange, for nobody to know of my sins but i kind of like it!! ❞

upon the praise her name was given, L.L. brightened significantly, a gleeful smile pulling at her lips. ❝ i did!! i did pick my name!! i do like lore—ley but...after a while, it stopped feeling like my name. it reminded me too much of some— ❞ people. ❝ thing i'm not really happy about. ❞ the name her parents chose for her. the same parents who abandoned her, tossed her aside because her illness had become too much for them. ⁽ her parents who got their normal daughter, like they always wanted ⁾

β - "Do you need a hand up?" A young woman had fallen. Not on purpose. Some jerk had bumped into her and knocked her forward. But he took off, leaving her on the ground. While EVE shot him a glare, she hurried over to help the stranger, extending her hand to be taken, rather than scold him.

okay. maybe, just maybe, L.L. should have kept her eyes on the road and instead of peering into alleyways and windows of shops. but she couldn't help it!! a cat had turned into said alleyway and the sinner wanted to see if she could catch sight of it again. and the window shopping?? that dress!! a beautiful red that seemed to be made of silk!! miss cabernet would have looked absolutely stunning in it!! ⁽ the blue—haired girl did glance at the price and … yeah, her wallet wouldn't have survived. miss cabernet would have though!! ⁾

anyhow!! now that L.L. had thought about it, after wincing at the sharp pain in her knees upon her fall, she had been stationary!! so it wouldn't have been her fault for being in the way!! he could have easily walked around her. ⁽ still no apologies though ⁾ thankfully, someone had saw and was helping her up. ❝ no, i'm fine. just a little sore in the knees but that's pretty normal. it … was a little rude though … ❞
