“Yes, I am definitely stronger than any guy. They can’t handle me, that’s the problem. I think when you turn back you might regret that. So yeah, little harsh.”

“I believe that. You’re stronger then a lot of people i know. Mmm, i might. I guess. I could just ask him to leave the seat down again.”

“Babe, you may have noticed, I am a guy,” he laughed, tracing his fingers over her leg. “I do mean that, I love everything about you.”

“You are? All you humans look the same.” She teased, grinning up at him. “How you feel about me.. is amazing. I mean that. I can get through this with you.” 

“We all feel pain, loss, anger, we all feel love and hope also. I believe we are all tied together in some way. It is not wrong. I only wish I had been as brave as you. I never should have let her go.”

“Even werewolves and vampires?” She half smiled, liking the respect he seemed to have for this world. “We all have regrets, but i think they’re important.... she’d have understood. She loved you. That means she knew all your flaws, she knew what was important to you.”

“I’m glad to hear it, you’re more then a guy. Typical guy things. Turn and... maul Wes for leaving the toilet seat down at night. Too harsh?”

“Maybe I can just continue to live in my dream world and die happily alone,” she half laughed. “Aw, living together. That’s so cute.”

“As long as you’re happy. Who cares? Is it? He keeps leaving the seat up... i may kill him. The full moon is coming up. It’s the perfect cover.”

He sighed, looking down a moment. “Our own species hold us back… encourage hunters by creating that divide between the species. Love is love… why should it be stopped? To love someone is not wrong.”

She listened, she respected his age. All the wisdom he’d earnt. She wanted to learn from him. “It... shouldn’t be. At the end of the day... we all have that humanity. It all ties us together. No, the love i feel could never be wrong. It can’t be stopped either.”

“No, you’re touching me. It’s hot. You’re hot,” he nudged her. “I’m not a shy guy.” He leaned down, kissing her thigh. “Happy and cool.”

“You’re such a guy.” She laughed, aware of the mass of werewolves that were downstairs. “Oh i’ve noticed that. You so don’t mean that. You’re being nice about my trashy tattoo.”

He laughed, pulling her closer to him. “You just did that? But dangerous, really?” He looked down at his arm. “A road trip after my high school graduation. Thought we’d be cool.” He felt down her side. “Show me.”

“Did you hate it?” She asked, concerned for a moment. “Hey i’m a werewolf, i like it every now and then.” She laughed again. “It was cool.” She rolled her eyes, laying back on the bed and pulling at her jeans. Showing him the small tattoo on her inner thigh. “Happy?”

“I am saying that, yes. Though I have the tiny one on my arm and I regret it. So no more,” he smiled. “Oh? Show me.”

“I like it, it’s dangerous.” She joked, biting him gently. “When did you get it?” She laughed, shaking her head. “No. I was drunk and in college. If you haven’t seen it yet, i’m not pointing it out.”

“I really can’t. I have known some douchebags,” she laughed. “Maybe that works, you’re both so feisty and strong minded. And pretty adorable together.”

“See, maybe you’re better off without men. I think it works. He’s... pretty good for me. And we’re living together now.” 

“You would, but you wouldn’t be the first person to,” he nodded. “I guess, yes, I do need that.” He looked at her. “They do… many marriages are arranged. But we do love in our way. No, they do not. Just on their terms.”

She nodded, listening to his words. “Werewolves don’t arrange marriages, but they can be pretty picky. We’re not suppose to mate outside of our species. Me and Wes... would cause a stir. Not... kidnap me and torture me. But they could exile me.” 

“What you see is what you get,” he laughed, squeezing her hand. “Look at my body. It’s not snobby. I just don’t want a tattoo.”

“Are you saying you love your body too much for ink?” She grinned “I got a tattoo in college”

“Good, I can promise the same,” he said, reaching for her hand. “You can be possessive without ruining my body with cheap ink,” he laughed.

“You’re a simple guy, that I know now.” She let him take her hand. “Oooo cheap ink, snobby Wesley strikes again.”

“You are a generous woman. You have your own secrets and you do not judge others for their own. Thank you, even if it kills me to admit it. That actually means a lot to me… it’s been a long time since I have heard that.”

“I’d be a hypocrite if i did, wouldn’t i?” She gave him a polite nod. “It is nothing, and it is not shameful to admit you need other people. Even if it’s as simple as you need someone to talk to every now and then. We can’t be alone all the time. Your people still... marry right? They still have love in some form? They wouldn’t ask you to be alone forever, would they?” 

“No, no secrets at all,” he grinned down at her. “Oh, you would know them all,” he laughed. “Is sleeping with my ass not enough?”

“I promise, there’s nothing else to know.” She gave him a firm nod.  “I would? I love that ass. Can’t let anyone else have that ass. I told you, i’m insane. Let me be possessive.”

“I thought as much, nothing I have said has scared you odd yet,” he laughed a little. “I do not, believe me. I just want… to feel some acceptance here too.”

“No, i turn into a wolf once a month... so... no, nothing is odd to me. I accept you, you’re my friend now. You belong here.”

“You just told me,” he laughed. “Oh there? You see there. Don’t people call that a tramp stamp?”

“We don’t have secrets do we? I can tell you.” She laughed resting her head on his thigh. “Tramp stamp, slag tag. Maybe i need to give you one. Make my ownership official. That’s my ass.”
