Eleanor Elisabeth Specter was born to Michael and Mia Specter on a sunny May morning. She was the second couple for the pair, having one older sister Beatrix. Elle was brought into a wealthy family meaning that a lot was always expected of her. Like her sister, Elle was always expected to attend whatever event her parents had planned. There were no if and or buts about the matter. Even having to attend to them when she was sick. Everything they did had to be for their family name and not for the girl’s enjoyment or benefit. The parties seemed to be the only time she spent any time with her parents, so Elle rather enjoyed them as a child. It wasn’t until she was older she grew to hate the events, parties, and charities. Elle spent most of her time with her older sister who was more of a mom to her than their own. With the help of many nannies along the way. Elle always was one to keep down her head and not cause many problems. She was always one to want to please her parents.
All of that seemed to go downhill for her as she became a teenager. As many teenagers do, she went through a very rebellious stage. She started falling into the wrong crowd when she started high school for the fact that her parents decided to send her to an all-girls private school. Think she would less likely get into more trouble this way. It was the opposite in fact. The schools are filled with girls bullheaded and eager to not be the perfect princess their wealthy parents wanted them to be. Elle would skip class to smoke with her friends, meet up with boys from a nearby school. They would drink, smoke, make out, and get into other trouble teenagers did. Their weekends would consist of sneaking out to go to parties and continuing the same things they would do throughout the week. It wasn’t like Elle’s parents ever really noticed that she was gone as they were always working or socializing.
This continued until her junior year when Elle fell head over heels in love with a boy. He was everything her parents hated, not coming from a wealthy family. Elle was madly in love and thought he was the one she would end up with. That was until she fell pregnant. Elle was terrified and went to her sister first unsure what to do. She knew that their parents would freak out, and they did. Before she was even able to say goodbye to the boy she loved she was shipped off to live with ‘family’ in Virginia. Elle was not allowed to have any communication with any of her old friends, family or even her sister. She was stuck being watched twenty-four hours a day and doing her school work. Elle was thrown into school being pushed even harder to finish up before her son was born. Knowing very well her parents would never let her keep the baby as she had met with a couple before who would be adopting her child. They again had control of her life and it made her resentment grow for them. The moment her son was born, she wanted to take him and run away. Yet she could not. He was there and then gone. Not allowed to see him and left to recover alone in Virginia. It wasn’t until her senior year she returned from what her family called ‘studying abroad.’ She was forced into a new school her last year being watched like a hawk. She was not allowed to make a move or contact her old friends or boyfriend. Her parents made sure she stayed on track to continue the family name by going to a college close by so they were still able to control her life.
Elle did the first three years of college as her parents wanted her to. Her father again forced her to go into pre-med to be a doctor like him. She was still attending events with her parents and was to be courted by sons of her parents’ friends. She was now suddenly the golden child . That was what they thought of course. When her parents were not looking she was looking into going behind their back to get her son back. Lawyers were expensive and she even took a part time job without their knowledge to save up the money. The first attempt of getting him back fell through and it nearly broke her. It was what she had to keep bottled up because she knew she was never able to talk to anyone about it. All of her friends now were asskissing suck-up to their parents. So Elle often kept to herself, even when it came to her sister Trix. They had always been so close until recently. She didn’t realize how unhappy . She was sick of going to all of these weddings for kids of her parents and how fake and happy they looked. Elle packed up everything she owned after snagging a job as an assistant and left in the middle of the night. It took days, but she drove across the country to Seattle. Knocking on Trix’s door to stay with her. She is currently trying to figure out her life, but she still has ever intention to get her son back.
