Another wax ring ready to be cast! This time with an Amethyst. can’t wait to see the result!

In nature elements are interdependent, influencing a fraction of an ecology will leave not only that element affected. In actuality several elements can be affected with grave consequences to follow. Interdependency in nature is a beautiful precarious balance for which humans should strive to be left untouched.

Unfortunately this species is therefore incredibly destructive in habitats that are not native to it. 

This is a little insight into my wax work process. This wax form eventually became a sterling silver ring and I will post an image of that later!

In my jewellery I strive to have the least environmental impact as possible, therefore I  work with recycled metals, all minerals are ethically sourced or secondhand, shells are found by me on the beach and the gemstones I use are synthetic or secondhand.

This ceramics sculpture is in the process of making and has had it’s layer of glaze. Still some adjustments to be made!
