R E A D Y F O R I T:Â is a more of a warning than a question. a sign of things to come. a simple warning shot before the gunfight. to let you know that something is about to happen. telling you to prepare yourself. itâs just the beginning in the over all story.Â
E N D G A M E:Â is for the lovers who, despite the odds, believe they can make it through this crazy game called life. itâs wanting to break your reputation of bad endings and make this be the one that lasts forever. itâs adrenaline rushes and planning your whole life out with someone.Â
I D I D S O M E T H I N G B A D: is for all the witches they were unsuccessful at burning. itâs lit fireworks crackling in your rib-cage and fiddling with the laces of your warn out combat boots and already ripped fishnets and applying perfectly winged eyeliner without trying and bright red lipstick to match the blood of your enemies.
D O N T B L A M E M E: is for the passionate, reckless, fearless lovers. the ones who fall in love without hesitation and without permission. they dive in head first without looking back. they donât care if it makes them seem crazy because they would rather be crazily, passionately in love than live an indifferent and emotionless life. itâs for when you find that one person you would risk everything for.Â
D E L I C A T E: is for the doubt that takes residence in your head and in your heart when you finally get the courage to dust yourself off and fall for someone new after you got your heart broken. itâs terrifying and temporary and fragile and beautiful because itâs fleeting. it can never last forever, or so you have been led to believe. itâs for the cautious dreamers. the damaged lovers who have been left for dead too many times to count.Â
L O O K W H A T Y O U M A D E M E D O: is for the defeating moment when you finally take the blame just to ease the heat. itâs for when every one thinks that they finally buried you but like a phoenix, you rise from the ashes reborn. itâs taking a lighter and burning every thing to the ground. itâs finding out just how good revenge can feel.Â
S O I T G O E S: is nights at bars and restaurants and films and parties and weekends that you know canât possibly last forever. itâs silk dresses and high heels and smudged lipstick and scratches on your lovers back. itâs cashmere jumpers and messy hair and dark circles beneath your eyes because lately life has been so freeing, sleeping seems like a waste of time.Â
G O R G E O U S: is for the endless summer nights and repeatedly making eye contact with the stranger across the bar. itâs starry eyes, rosy cheeks, and quiet seduction. itâs drinks in blues and pinks and tiny cocktail umbrellas and having so many you quit counting. itâs finding someone so physically flawless you canât help but hate them, simply because you canât have them.Â
G E T A W A Y C A R: is for all of the lovers on the run from all of their past mistakes and rebounds. itâs for when they find someone with similar baggage and decide to find distraction in each other. itâs for seeking a fresh new start. itâs secretly kissing in diner booths, holding hands under the table, and kissing each other with recklessness on your lips. itâs knowing that this is temporary, but thatâs what you love about it.
K I N G O F M Y H E A R T: for the boys and girls who make a key to their heart and give it to each other. itâs the truth and vulnerability one must have to be able to do that. itâs for the five am rooftop conversations. itâs getting dressed up just to dance with each other around the living room.Â
D A N C I N G W I T H O U R H A N D S T I E D: itâs nights spent dancing with each other around the house. itâs lips that taste like safety, and thatâs something you havenât had in so long youâve forgotten what it taste like. Itâs the drop of your stomach just before you jump. This is for the desperate but hopeful lovers.Â
D R E S S: is his drink in your hair, on your lips, in your hands. itâs crumpled bed sheets. itâs when the sun rises in the morning and your eyes meet the same sleeping lover beside you. itâs lace bra-lets and knee-high boots.Â
W H Y W E C A N T H A V E N I C E T H I N G S: is for when the hurt and betrayed turn into the unforgiving and unafraid. itâs when your mouth is filled with unforgiving teeth. itâs reaching a point of anger, you canât help but burst into laughter. you canât help but joke about the whole thing. itâs shards of broken glass and anger to the point of apathy.Â
C A L L I T W H A T Y O U W A N T: is for the lovers who find comfort and validation in one another. they donât have anything to prove. itâs hand written lovers and blankets under covers. grinning from ear to ear alone in your room. the promise of something bigger than this. a taste of forever. itâs cups of tea in the morning and wine at night. itâs the kind of love that could inspire classic romance novels.Â
N E W Y E A R S D A Y: is for when every one else has gone home and you are the only two remaining. when the party is over, but the best part of the night has yet to come. itâs time standing still when itâs just you two. itâs air kissed curls and deep two in the morning conversations on kitchen counters. itâs wanting to stay forevermore.Â
itâs okay to not be okay.
I feel like I'm going to finish this blanket and my life on the same day.
and if I should die before I wake, i pray the lord, my soul to take...

reblog if u are currently a mess
'there's nothing like finding a patch of unmarred, clean skin, and dragging a razor over it for the very first time. there is no greater beauty than scarring the previously unscarred...'
my mom looked at my recent scars on my belly tonight (from the last six weeks or so). bright red, and angry looking, and some still scabbed over. and clearly all made with a blade. and she looked at them and said 'are those scratched from dry skin?'. and when people ask how she didn't know i was suicidal, this is the kind of evidence i use.
Iâm feeling so sad and lost right now.

Why is prostitution illegal? Whatâs a legitimate reason that isnât an appeal to morals?
My first thought was risk of spreading STDs and STIs which is a health hazard, but then I remembered that if it was legalized then the same sort of regulations the porn industry has would probably spread to it. Honestly, most of the (few) reasons I can come up with are probably solvable with those sorts of regulations.
Same here; I thought about it several times, and I also realized how hard it is to keep my biases from interfering.
Itâs illegal because we live in a country founded by prudes. Thatâs literally the only reason.
Itâs illegal because the government canât come up with a legitimate way to track it and tax it. If the government canât tax it, you canât do it.
The government canât tax it BECAUSE itâs illegal. If it was legal it would be a legitimate business like any other and it could be taxed just like any other legitimate business. There would also be âfreelanceâ prostitutes, for lack of a better term, and theyâd be taxed like any other freelance professional like an artist or writer. By making it illegal theyâve made it impossible to tax.
I get what youâre saying, but it would be impossible to tax it. Thereâs a huge difference in freelance artists or writers than prostitutes. Would there be legitimate corporations that sold sex, above the board, and safely? Yeah, of course. But there would be way more of your âfreelance artistsâ. Thereâs absolutely no way that people would settle for the government interfering in their sex lives, because, whether itâs a business venture or not, it will NEVER be acceptable for someone to say to someone else âwho did you sleep with, how much did you makeâ. Itâs not untaxable because itâs illegal. Itâs illegal because itâs untaxable. There is no feasible way to make that work.
I disagree as it seems to work out just fine in Nevada. Iâm not sure how their tax system works but I imagine they tax it the same way they would any other income. Not to mention that itâs safer for both parties when itâs legal since they can work for actual businesses and be protected against both violence and STDs.
From my understanding, which I'll admit could be outdated, the laws in Nevada on prostitution are extremely strict. It's only allowed in rural counties (with populations less than 400,000, which eliminates both Vegas and Reno where prostitution is still a major issue); it's not taxed by the state, only the rural counties; it's only permitted in organized businesses, thus ruling out any 'freelance' work; men are still prohibited to work as sex workers. It's most assuredly safer in an organized business, I'm not arguing that. Licensed sex workers are required to be tested regularly, and generally employment clauses would protect them from physical/emotional violence. It would also be a great income for the government, if it's done right it's a 'victimless crime', it would ensure workers got fair wages and safe working environments, and it's not something that's going to go away whether it's legalized or not. I'm simply saying that, unless the government can find a way to accurately tax it and make it worth their while, it's going to remain illegal. Side note: it would be really difficult to ensure adequate safety by any freelance workers, even if they could somehow track taxing it. Working for a company makes sense, they're protecting their investments. It's not fair to compare it to art and artists where, if you're not following stringent laws, there's little chance of hurting others. It's more like food service, where the government has to come in and approve your facilities to protect the health of your consumers. Not to be crude, but if you're looking at sex as a business, you have to provide legitimate business laws. Freelance will never work as a legal business because it's too risky. If you pass something on to someone, you've opened yourself up to all sorts of lawsuits, and you're not protected by anything or anyone because you're not a company or corporation, your a freelancer.
