“Ha. Look, if I have to make the argument, my variety of doctor is more immediately practical. Got to look after the greater good, heroically keep everyone healthy. Speaking of, what’s ‘barely’.”

“Wow, that must be really fulfilling. But what if I found, say, a delicious, edible plants between all this junk, or, your know, developed a crazy magical, curing serum made from the dirt in our lake over there. It could happen? That’s kind of why we’re here.”

“No kidding. But, y’know, asking is nicer than stealing. Gives me the chance to say no, and prioritize my own work over whatever you’re doing.”

“Well, as you so cleverly stated, stealing eliminates your chance to say no, and that fit right into my plan. Helping out another doctor is quite a nice act, aswell, don’t you think? I haven’t gotten through half the work we brought back from the lake yet and I’m barely sleeping.”

“Perfectly fine hands they could be using to dig for us, maybe?”

”…Digging aside, there must be something positive that can come from this… Right? ”

“Yeeeah, call me rude, but I don’t really want any of them near our camp. I’ve had my research stolen before and I’d love to keep them at a distance.”

“If you say so. Was wondering if any of the non-medical docs walked off with my clean microscope slides.”

“A mysterious researcher broke some of ours and it’s not exactly easy to get a hold of them around here, so yeah. Whoops.”

“Alright. I can get that. Nothing much, I was just looking for Noah. Have you seen him ?” 

elizabeth videotapes a weekly log that she intends to send to her brother once given the chance. in it, she résumés the events of the week and discusses her feelings about them, sort of like a mix of a work log, a diary and a letter in videoform.

A little bit about Elizabeth...

she is gifted with an IQ of 136

her interest in science came from her Dad, who she was always especially close to during her childhood, who was a physicist

he passed away during her journey to  HD 40307G after a long journey of sickness. it was the most difficult decision of her life to make the trip, but her father encouraged it as he knew it was all she wanted in life

space always fascinated her. she would be the kid to build solar system models and project stars onto her wall to sleep

additionally to that, she is a huge nerd who is into Star Trek

she also loves creepy literature like lovecraft and king and she enjoys a wide variety of music, from rap to classical

she is a vegetarian

Elizabeth has an older brother who is in the military now

she has a really strong maternal instinct, but still always chose her career over family

she was always a bit of a loner with her head in the books. she was never a particularly social person, and preferred to remain detached from others

that doesn’t mean that she is a bad or rude person, she is just introverted

staring in high school, Elizabeth completely devoted her life to her studies, acing every test until she had skipped as much as she could, graduated with honors and landed herself a spot with SAND at a very young age

saying that, Elizabeth devotes herself completely to her work. she will forget to eat and sleep when she gets busy with something

this doesn’t mean that she is a boring person, though. she basically aches to break out of her shell

secretly, she is a bit lonely and longs for someone to take it upon themselves to make the effort to really get to know her
