"Is this why I haven't seen hide nor hair of you in the last few days?" Addie sighed as took a seat nearby. She crossed her legs slowly and then set a cup holder onto her knees. "So I have what you need here. I just need you to promise me you aren't going to try to leave coffee cold turkey again. I mean you're basically useless right now. If I wanted to I could have killed you and I really don't have the time to deal with funeral arrangements. Or to contemplate getting away with murder. I have a lot on my plate as it is."

"Thanks for the coffee by the way, you're a lifesaver."

"You're welcome I guess. You do realize that you've put me in a bit of a bind on this next mission?" She said as she handed him the other cup and made a mental note to have coffee delivered to him every morning. No need to let him go insane while he was laid up.

He shrugged his shoulders when she mentioned the next mission. "Shit happens, I'm not a super soldier, a god, or a walking tin can and I'm not a wizard that can go back in time, just an asshole with a bow and arrow." He leaned forward, resting his elbow on his good leg. "Can't you call your friendly neighborhood greaseball to help out?" He questioned, referring to Bucky. "Doc said I'm gonna need at least three months on the mend, and that's if I'm on good behavior." There was a bit of him that felt bad about letting her down, but there was nothing he could do about it and the guilt trip definitely wasn't helping.

"Bucky is a great guy and an even better partner but I feel bad. I know what it's like to go from one fight to the next always waiting for the next shoe to drop. So I feel guilty asking him because he might feel obligated so I don't go it alone." Addie said finally letting out the thing that had been eating at the back of her mind since the last mission she had with Bucky. The man needed rest and to pick up a fashion magazine. Not to be running around babysitting her. "So I'll handle it by myself this time. And please keep this to yourself. I know you avengers are big on team stuff."
