stable doors.
Elise glanced over to the stable from her place at Che’s door. She had seen the the man earlier but hadn’t made the move to say hello, a little apprehensive to talk to him. She wasn’t used to this, the whole being nervous thing, but who could blame her when Charlie was the equivalent to a god? She patted the appaloosa on the neck, smiling up at the gelding when he nuzzled at her cheek and whispered some words to him about how good and how great he was. When she glanced back towards where Charlie’s horse was housed, the man in question was opening the door to the stable and stepping inside. Should she go over there? Make an effort? Despite how bitchy she had come across, he was the first and only guy that still gave her the time of day, he seemed to be so genuine.
With a nudge on the shoulder from her faithful companion, she made her way over to the stable, folding her arms on the top as she looked into the area. “Hey stranger, long time no see. I was starting to think maybe the cold had got to you after all,” she teased with a small smile, hoping he’d be happy to talk to her for a while.
