glory and gore go hand in hand

“I just told you I haven’t quite got it yet. How am I supposed to show you if I haven’t got it yet?”

“Good to know,” Dante replied with a brisk nod. “I will take that as a compliment,” he chuckled softly. “A slingshot hmm? That’s certainly going to kick things up a notch. We should probably try and get there before Chiron does. I don’t think he’ll be too happy about you slinging rocks at the pegasi.”

“What’s that saying… don’t judge a book by its cover? You could be the most generous person in this camp and nobody would know,” he teased with a little smirk. “Well then let’s go see what’s going on over there for ourselves, shall we?”

“Make sure Chiron doesn’t find out then. It’s possible we’re not supposed to.” Ronnie shrugged, “Trying out a new move. I haven’t quite got it yet but I know what I’m doing.”

“I’m sure it’s a job more suited for a Poseidon kid, but you’re welcome to try,” he shrugged. “Me? I thought you were implying that you were going to go ahead and handle all of this,” Dante replied. “Not a clue. Just heard word, I haven’t seen it with my own eyes yet.”

“You’re one of the angry kids, right?” He smirked, knowing that saying things like that wouldn’t do him any furthers but he was too cocky for his own good and wouldn’t stop until he was knocked on his ass or punched in the face. “What? You think you’re invincible? Pretty sure everyone here would say the same thing, that they are incapable of being beaten- but someone’s got to win, right?” 

“I sure as hell am now,” Elise raised her brows. She knew she wasn’t the most impressive of opponents from the outside, but she had a pretty big ego that didn’t let her even consider the thought that she could lose. Maybe one day her father would see it too. “Yeah, well you wanna test that and that someone’s gonna be me. I take every fight seriously, and I don’t pull my punches. So you wanna test that theory of yours or what?” she tilted her head and shook out her arms to loosen them up.

“You can charge to train at camp? What have I been doing all these years?” Ronnie asked, now grinning in a joking manner, “I’m alright thanks. You don’t even know what I’m doing and it’s certainly not what you think I’m doing.”

“You think that just because I don’t know my true strength that I can’t beat your ass?” Alaric commented, a cocky grin on his lips as straightened up his posture as if he was almost challenging the other. “I’m not scared - you should be though.” They were fighting words and he wasn’t sure if he would be regretting them within the next ten minutes.

“You do realize who the fuck you’re talking to right?” Elise raised a brow, sizing him up to see if he was worth her time. “Claimed or not, whatever cabin you belong in, I can still kick your ass kid. So you wanna try that again?”

“You didn’t hear it from me, but apparently there’s quite a scene happening down at the stables,” Dante told the other with a look of clear amusement. “Any chance you’re good at wrangling pegasi? I’m sure they could use a hand back there.”
