𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒖𝒔 𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕.

I never really live blog skamfr but I’m just so sad right now and I need to let it out a little bit. This is the first time we see the Chris character be the love interest of the main and I was so excited waiting to see it this season because og Chris, although she was awesome, was essentially just the comic relief, which sucked after a while. But now she was going to be made into a desirable character, romantically and sexually, and that meant a lot to me and a lot of people like me who were always just the funny side friend who didn’t really get to be a romantic lead in anyone’s story. Alexia was put in that position and we were all so excited and hopeful for it. But turns out that she’s not the one getting the cinematic, beautifully shot, brilliantly scored and emotionally charged scenes. She’s getting cute scenes, sure, but not the scenes that make hearts race, the scenes with intense eye contact, the scenes that get people shipping the couple within 2 seconds of seeing them on screen together. And maybe that’ll change as the season goes by (I don’t know, I really want to see where this goes and I’m trying not to judge too much) but I’m still very sad that Alexia isn’t getting any of the big moments the way she and people who see themselves in her deserve. And it feels very unfair to see this being done to a character who’s been the comic relief for 4 seasons and should finally be having the chance of getting a better story. The fact that so many people ship Arthur with Noée, whom I love but we just met, so much more than with Alexia shows just how much they aren’t even trying to sell Arthur’s actual relationship. And if he was dating a random girl it’d be fine. But he’s dating Alexia, the Chris character, who we love and adore, and honestly it feels like being stabbed in the back.
