i guess i just want to make a general statement on the matter because a lot of people only really see arguments and never just a view

this is about the copying vs. inspiration debate that happens a lot w/ mabi chars and the tag

and no, much to your dismay, not everyone copies one another as you assume. some of us enjoy having original and eye-catching appearances which we pour lots of money & effort into maintaining.

it’s pretty universally agreed that if you were to go through the lengths to copy someone’s appearance irl, it’d be considered creepy, and a lot of people feel the same about the appearances of their personal characters being mimicked “out of admiration” or whatever the case.

i gave up on bothering with it after a particularly ridiculous incident but your comment really rubbed me the wrong way.
