I really like the fact that this was the first time Bucky and Nat are seeing each other for the first time in over 50 years. Not because they fought and seemed so passionate and hot while doing so (maaaybe partly because of that), but because in the end, the two of them were fighting for their own purposes and virtues. The last time they saw each other, they were pawns in someone else's game.

But it's important to note that they still naturally face difficulties due to factors around them that are beyond their control. Sooo there needs to be more talk about them leaving their past fears behind, not letting their experiences in the Red Room define their relationship, and starting over

Lately, I've been seeing more people saying that Bucky and Nat's relationship dynamic is unhealthy and unequal because of the events and situations in the Red Room. But but BUT have you ever considered that they might not want to define themselves solely by their past personalities and that they've undergone many changes over the years? The only rare times they talked about their shared past were when their pasts caught up with them (and ultimately Bucky resolved to stay away from Natasha) (It was very successful.) (very) (he certainly didn't yearn for her afterwards)

I also want to say one last thing: this is Natasha's first time getting to know James Buchanan Barnes up close. Allowing their pasts to define their present relationship would mean denying that Bucky is more than just the Winter Soldier

If Natasha hadn't tried to understand the man behind the Winter Soldier, Bucky would have tormented himself with guilt for another 50 years. Because this time, all people would see in him are his flaws, and he's always ready for self-sabotage anyway.
