ANOTHER ELFHUNT

English translation of my Korean comic. Original version is here.

I used translation tools and AI assistance to check the dialogue. Hope it reads okay ;)

Note:

I originally envisioned Johnny's flashback taking place when they were teenagers, but I realized that the canon never gave us designs for their teenage years. So I went with the easier option: I simply changed the flashback to their twenties. After all, as long as Johnny was alive, Kerry's voice would have sounded the same.

It was practically impossible to have Johnny explain his own feelings in the way I usually write comics. I'd already used up the "final weapon" (having V explain Johnny's feelings over drinks) so I might not be able to make any more comics after this.

Local officer, Married and widowed thrice, Well liked in his community. And while criminals he’d come across would argue otherwise, most people who’d met the man would call him sociable, and easygoing. He was funny, if not raunchy with his jokes.

So then why the fuck was he feeling this way towards you.

The two of you had spoken only twice, maybe thrice, and yet Coyle found himself attached. Not in a typical friendly way — in the way he found himself with his ex wives, before they got all bitchy and needy.

You were younger than him by only a few years, always seeming to be in-between work (Something which he honestly despised, but that’s besides the point.), you were polite when talking to him; something he figured everyone ought to be. The only problem with it all was that you were a man.

There must be something about you making him feel this way. If he really thought about it he could come up with something. Your voice must be higher than others, maybe you’ve got more of a feminine energy in it.. was it your body? Less muscular? Wider hips? Plumper lips? Maybe your hair was longer?.. fuck.

Coyle isn’t a faggot.

Right off the bat, your relationship will NEVER become official, nor will he ever confess to you. The closest you’ll get is finding out he has feelings for you, maybe some kissing, maybe fucking, but NEVER anything official.

Physical stuff is very important to him because he wants to prove he’s the more masculine of you two; Arm wrestling with you is his favorite! He’s a sore ass loser when you beat him, don’t get me wrong! But when he wins it’s euphoric

He’ll take you out and buy you drinks just to watch your Adams Apple Bob while you gulp something down. Thank god for those sunglasses.

He also just loves how you are when you’re drunk. He’s probably slipped something in your drink once or twice just to get you even more fucked up. He’ll take you home, Resisting every urge within him to fuck you right then and there. That being said, it’d take him a few times to actually assault you. Not because he’s a good guy or anything, but because you’re a man. Eventually he convinces himself it’s not gay as long as he pretends you’re a woman.

He does not pretend you’re a woman. He still convinces himself it’s not gay.

He’d spend as much time as possible watching over you. He’d say he’s patrolling, Or that he heard something was happening around your current work, but he’s lying. He just wants to see you.

He’d probably start propositioning woman more than usual once he realizes he loves you, trying to prove to himself that he’s straight. He’s just pent up, that’s all! He’s also a lot more violent in these encounters. Meaner to them, pulling their hair more, etcetera.

His frustration with himself manifests more in anger rather than sadness or confusion. He’s not sad he can’t be with you, he’s mad that you made him want to be with you. How dare you fuck with him like this!? He’s a man of the law!

He becomes more judgy as well, he starts over analyzing everyone around him — his coworkers, friends, even strangers. If two guys look at eachother long enough, he starts telling himself they must be gay. Dirty queers are everywhere. Not him, he’s not one of them. You don’t count.

He could spend hours studying your body. I feel like he’d go ballistic over the idea of making you more manly. He’d encourage you to come work out with him, He’ll suggest you workouts — just ignore how happy he seems to get when you ask for help with something.

He doesn’t compliment you much, and when he does they’re backhanded. This is purposeful. Usually, he says whatever comes to mind, but with you he’s very particular about his words. He doesn’t want you figuring shit out.

If you do figure out? That’s a whole different hell.

Bringing it up to him will result in an argument — a lot of screaming from him about how he’s not gay and he can’t believe you’d think of him like that! All things considered, it’s best you not bring it up.

If you find out and decide to play into it though? That’d drive him even more mad.

He already thinks you’re toying with him, so he picks up pretty quickly when you start leaning into his touch, How you offer to go out or to talk more. Everything about you seems to change. The way you talk, the way you look at him, the way you fucking move. It drives him wild.

He might get you drunk one night and pull you aside, practically clawing at you. It’s almost scary how sloppy he is, his teeth biting your lip as he kisses you. Fucking tease. Filthy boy.
