The words that she had overheard coming from Wyatt’s lips were cutting constant cuts into her heart. She still hadn’t worked up the nerve to tell him that she had in fact lost their baby and almost her own life as well. She couldn’t be the one to break his heart. Hers was already breaking just thinking about telling him and taking away the joy and pride he had in being a father. She had been quick to sneak away from the company of others, closing herself quietly into a room before sliding her back down it, a sigh leaving her lips as her eyes fell shut. It wasn’t until she heard a creaking of floorboards that her her eyes shot open and she pushed herself up quickly. “Oh my God, I’m so sorry,” she spoke quickly. “I didn’t think anyone was in here.”

The whitelighter witch had just put Jenny down for a nap. Which they both sorely needed right now. The little... angel was very cranky all morning and now Kat felt like she could use a nap.
Her whole body tensed up when she heard the door open. If one thing she knew by now was that when she first went down the smallest sound could wake her. Not exactly great in a witchy family but what could she do about that.
Turning to see Lily slide to the floor. She was going to stop her mom standing again but it was too late. "It's okay," she said in a hushed tone. "What's wrong, Lil."
