Reagan just shook her head at Carmen's words. "I know it's all a ploy for companies to make more money, but it is also wasteful. There needs to be more laws to protect the environment." She said before she let out a sigh and held out the phone to Carmen. "Here you go."

"When did I have time to thank you?" Harmony asked with the defensiveness clear in her tone. "You haven't been around."

"The darker the roast, the more bitter it tends to be." Ella replied as that was what she'd always heard at least. "So that is probably what happened here." She explained as she hoped that Carla could learn from here.

"I-I don't know. Maybe once I was done with this event," Dana shrugged, her voice an octave higher than normal. "I just...I definitely would have told you. I-I mean, I don't think I could keep that kind of information from you forever. But...this was supposed to be a fun and happy time. And...well, it's not exactly happy news. And I didn't really know how to tell you I'm sick."

Raj tried to process everything she was saying, trying to determine how much of it was the trust, and which parts she was saying to try to keep him happy. "But isn't this type of thing exactly what you shouldn't be doing?" Raj said as it made sense to him that she shouldn't be pushing herself. "You need to take care of yourself."

"I don't know why anyone thought they could surprise you anyway." Gemma replied as she knew that it had been a bit of a long shot. At least it wasn't all about the surprise, and more just about celebrating Addison's big day in general. Gemma raised her eyebrow at the woman's comment. "Okay, and what exactly do you have in mind? She asked, interested to see what the other came up with.

He was thisclose to asking for a live demonstration. "Okay," he said, voice strained as he scribbled down what she'd said. No, he had to do research for her comfort, not let himself be such a horndog. "Well, I'm, um... I don't know. I'd say I'm a typical straight guy. Nothing too out there, in terms of what I like in bed. So let's focus on you. Um... I wouldn't say I'm 'massive' down there."

Melody listened to what he was saying. She was happy that he seemed to be coming around to the plan, and that it was all falling into place the way she wanted it to. I am not fully sure what I like. It's hard to know when you haven't really done anything." Melody told him with a shrug of her shoulders. She knew what other people seemed to like, but it was hard to know for herself.

Devin moved closer to Thalia at her words. "I think it is no secret that you are incredibly attractive." He told her as he felt that much is obvious. "I feel like you probably don't need me to tell you that." Devin said as he looked down at her lips.

Theo found himself nodding along to her words, the certainty of them reassuring. "You're right, like I know you're right, and then my mom calls asking me to consider college again and that gets harder to remember."

"College is the path that everyone always pushes. But when you look at the numbers, there are so many people who end up working in fields not even related to what they studied." Juliette said with a shake of her head. "I don't get why it is pushed so hard."

Evie glanced down at their hands for a second before looking back up at Esme, her smile softening just a little. ❝ I’m glad you came with me then… even if it’s not your usual scene. ❞ Her thumb traced a slow, absent circle against Esme’s hand as they walked, like she hadn’t even realized she was doing it. She let out a quiet laugh, eyes flicking toward the water ahead before drifting back to Esme again. ❝ You don’t have to be a “party person” for me to enjoy having you around, you know. Tonight’s better because you’re here actually. ❞

"There's just a lot of people and I never really know people's intentions." Esme explained as it was the easiest way to explain things. She didn't feel that this was the time or place to get into the deeper trauma of it all. Right now she was just happy to enjoy their time together. "Well, I am happy to be around you too. You are making the night actually enjoyable." Esme said, and she hoped that Evie understood how much those words meant.

"I just feel like I am constantly dragging you down." Destiny said with a sad smile.

"I know, I always wonder if I should take up doing the lottery, just to see if I hit it big time. So I can buy a nice house, maybe with a big pool and not have to work ever again. It beats being on your feet all day and getting insulted by customers." Olive hated people being rude for no reason. "Excellent! What shall we have, some wine? Beer? Whiskey?" She asked with a smile on her lips.

Evelyn nodded her head at Olive's words. "The idea of just making it big and disappearing into the night is so tempting. I'd also just love to be able to give back more." She said as she believed that if she ever became wealthy she'd use the money for good. "Wine sounds good."

Aspen shrugged their shoulders. "Some people get off on pain and thee thrill of it. But most people understand it's important to try to keep their body safe in order to stay alive." He said as he knew that some people didn't really think that stuff through as much as they should. "I feel like every time I listen to the radio another song from my childhood is now vintage." Aspen said as he shook his head. "I can get behind a good bucket hat."

Bridget's eyes widened at Rowena's words. During all the time that they were friends, Bridget had never gotten the impression that Rowena would want to do anything of that sort with her. "Are you saying that just in general, or because it's something you actually want to do?"

"Sometimes love isn't enough, I guess." Oceana said as she tried to remain as calm as she could. It was hard when she watched her future drift away. "As much as we want it to be."

"I guess so, but I don't really get the logic behind the whole thing. It seems bizarre."
